This was adorable. I loved the comical twist you put on Lily's ever-changing mood; I can imagine a young mother's emotions swinging wildly from one to the next as she tries to decipher the meaning of her child's cries. I love James, too, trying and failing to get Lily to calm down. The ending to this was totally priceless and felt very realistic.

Author's Response: Hi Amanda! I am so happy you liked this, and that you found some humor in the situation, because I was seriously giggling the entire time imagining these brand new parents, barely out of school, with an infant.

I think Lily would have had a hard time realizing that when it comes to being a mother, no one can be perfect. She always has the answer, so when she can't figure out what to do with her own child, it would just really shock her.
