This was so sad! I loved all Daphne's reflections about being a Pureblood and how that affected her- the way she married. The way she sacrificed the man she loved in order to obey the wishes of her family was just tragic.
The wedding scene that took place when she was six was so adorable! The way the children spoke to each sounded really realistic and you described it very prettily, with the wild flowers and the borrowed tie.
I did wonder why Daphne's family was so opposed to Theodore, as he seems like a respectable Pureblood, and if he and Daphne were in love as well, I wondered why their parents would not have approved...
However the way you wrote the last wedding scene was really great. You have some lovely turns of phrase there, like mentioning her "perfect dress on an imperfect day" and Theodore "praying it's not the same cheek he once kissed six-year-old Daph on. It is not."
Finally, I think you leave the characters beautifully, with the reflections on what being a Pureblood means in their lives.

Author's Response: Thank you! I know why Theo and Daph can't marry and at the time I didn't think it would really matter but it seems many people want to know.
I'm thinking of maybe adding a sort of sequel that explains.
