I love this chapter, the way Beth and Severus are both so different but so alike.
I love the way the plot is picking up as well, and how much more frequently Severus is coming up.
I also love the way their relationship is developing quite slowly, it feels really natural and believable.

Author's Response: Beth was created partially to be a match for Severus; she is her own character, but at the same time I /developed/ her character to be somebody he could eventually develop feelings for. There are certain similarities between them that are rather undeniable! She's almost the opposite side of his coin, really.

I do understand that the plot was initially a bit slow, but I'm so relieved you seem to feel it's picking up -- and I think things move a bit more quickly in the sequel, too! (At least, that's my opinion!) And that you find their relationship to be believable is a relief, too. I know a lot of people like instant gratification where that's concerned -- and honestly, I'm one of those people -- but it did feel more believable here to slow it down, and it's awesome you wrote that.

Again, I really just have to thank you, both for reviewing these chapters and for favoriting this story. It's so, so appreciated when anybody does either -- when anybody just reads the story -- and I'm truly grateful. I hope to see you back soon!! ♥
