SEVERUS! :D I love getting his perspective, heartbreaking as it is to behold, and I especially love that his first instinct was to try to find the answers to his questions in the pages of old library books. It's so funny, because that's how I tend to think of him in his worst - and sometimes most endearing - moments; he possesses this nearly unfathomable intelligence and yet cannot unravel the answer to the question of Lily's heart.

Hah. You gave your Death Eaters normal first names. I gave them horrible Latin ones, myself. One tiny thing I spotted there - in the first paragraph mentioning them, Mulciber was present, but then he seemed to get replaced with Wilkes.

...a book on lycanthropy? Uh-oh...

The Sneth here is fantastic. Again with the awkward, and then... normalcy? No, can't be! Not between Severus Snape and a girl! I really want him to give her a chance, and I really want her to actually stand up to her friends, but I imagine there will be more adorably awkward dancing between now and then (if it ever comes to pass). I can't wait to read on as soon as I get a chance :)

Author's Response: It didn't occur to me until this chapter to actually switch points of view for this story! I was a bit sick of writing Beth's view on things and I think it was actually Sarah who suggested changing things up. And, of course, I owe her loads for that, because I've done that so much in this story, but anyway. I think you and I probably see Snape similarly -- he's almost too smart to realize the simpler answers for lots of his problems, although that could be stubbornness, too. ;)

THANK YOU for catching that little mistake! You'd think after all these edits, it would have been fixed by now... And, of course, as I said earlier, Snape and Beth function almost solely on awkward conversations and misunderstandings. ;) It's how they operate. And while eventual chances will be given -- yes, more awkwardness is to come! :D

Thank you for your reviews, Amanda -- it's truly an honor to have them! I'm so happy you're enjoying the things I've written!! ♥
