Ah! Such a lovely story! I'm so glad to have stumbled upon it! I never thought about Tonks and Charlie being friends, but this seems so plausible and you've written a wonderful story about it.

Firstly, I'd like to take a moment to tell you how much I admire your Tonks. She's not your usual teenage girl, yet, at the same time, she's is smitten by her friend's enemy and has some sort of a soft side to her; it's a nice balance to maintain. I also like how you've included her few canon characteristics and blended them into this plot without making them seem as though you were trying to force them in.

Charlie seems very interesting as well; how determined he is to find magical creatures and how he's so into them, the passion he displayed when he was holding the egg -when he still thought it was an egg anyway... I really liked that too! The interaction between him and Tonks seemed so natural, and their bickering makes it all very entertaining.

One of the things that helped me admire the story even more is the way you've sealed it. You gave it that sort of moralistic ending that made me smile! Also, the way you've described how the little dragon went into the water was so elegant and vivid; I just loved it!

Again, this has been such a nice, light-hearted read; it's a simple idea, really, but the way you've written it and the characters you've included make it seem unique and keeps the reader interested to see how things will end! And, honestly, this story has made me eager to read more of your stories, and I can't wait to get the time to do that!

I honestly haven't given much thought to Tonks and Charlie as friends, either, but this was written for a friend of mine who's interested in that pairing. She's a big Charlie fan. XD I, on the other hand, really love Tonks, so I was excited to write her here when she was young. I'm glad you liked her characterization!
