Hey there!

I'll come clean and just admit that at first I thought the character was Sirius, not Snape. I was not expecting Snape, in any way at all. It's a very nice surprise. Leather jacket, cigarettes and swearing -I can just so imagine Snape with those things.

I really like how you gave a lot more depth to Snape compared to most author. I dare say that you might have just changed the way I look at Snape. I never pictured him to be all this rough and gloomy, though I suppose there is a high probability that he acted something along the lines of what was in your story when he was a teenager.

I'm really creeped out by the way Snape acted. Wow. I mean, I never really thought about how far his thoughts for his desire goes. Even so though, you played with the story really well, you portrayed Snape so well. I realise that this one of those 'serious' stories and all, but I just can't help but be amused by the repetition of the F-word. I never took Snape to be the one to swear, but then again he is a Slytherin after all. I seriously need to check out more Snape stories, I am so shallow and biased when it comes to him. *sigh*

Anywho, I thought you really did a good job with Snape's character. I really enjoyed this story and I would love to read more of your stories. (I will. When I get time!)

Author's Response: Hi! Sorry for the late response, I've been in exile.

I was sort of trying to make him a bit Siriusish, because in a lot of Marauder fics, Remus-as-author-mouthpiece points out that you know what, Sirius, you and Snape are not actually that different for two people who hate each other so much. I thought that idea was interesting/strange/funny, hence leather jacket and cigarette.


I s'pose my Snape's different because I've never read any fic centering upon him as a main character - or really wanted to tbh - but I'm well acquainted with infatuated, somewhat creepy teenage boys and so I wrote about them instead. So it's not giving depth, it's just incompetence. XD
No, but seriously though, thank you, that's a fantastic compliment and one which I wouldn't have thought I deserved.

The swearing was funny to me, too. As were the leather jacket and the cigarette. That's just an inherently amusing image.
