It's funny because I used to avoid Next Gen fics like the plague but now I love them! Each author brings a unique take to each character and it's always fun to see the different characterizations.

I think this was a great first chapter. You started off strong with some great sibling interaction between Molly and Lucy. I remember going dress shopping with both my older sisters for their weddings so this brought back fond memories. I love this line: You know those wonderfully cliche moments where the girl tries on this beautiful dress and suddenly it's ohmygoshthisisfreakingperfect? because I can totally relate. I think that's what I really like about your stories (from what I've read so far) is that you make these characters real and your readers can connect with them.

I love that Lucy got Head Girl. It was a nice surprise since she didn't think she'd get it and she was worried about disappointing her father. I giggled at Percy's shock over Lucy already having her first kiss. xD

Aw, and then all the Weasleys! It makes me so happy how supportive they all are of one another and even though it was Lily and Hugo's birthday celebration, they were still so happy for Lucy too. They're just such a lovely family.

This was a great first chapter and I already want to read more. I can't wait to see how Lucy deals with everything because I'm sure Molly's going to be freaking out about her wedding plans if she's dress shopping already on top of being Head Girl (which she totally didn't plan for)...it seems like it might be a recipe for a totally stressed out Lucy!

I'll definitely be checking out more of this fic soon. :)

Author's Response: You didn't have to go and review again, but I'm not complaining :p It is fun to read, isn't it? I love writing the Next Gen kids because we've got so much /freedom/ with them. You are way too sweet, and those Weasley dads! Always too protective of their little girls, and even Percy isn't an exception. I love the Weasleys -squishes-
