What a lovely chapter -- I enjoyed your description of Severus and Avrille's day off. You are so good at describing places that I could visualize the beach and the light house.

Also it is so obvious you have a toddler yourself because your depiction of Char and the pleasures and hassles of parenthood are so spot on!

Author's Response: Hi Ardeith! I'm glad you liked the descriptions in this chapter. I'm always constantly paranoid that I'm not doing enough and just summarizing a bunch of actions, especially since it took a while to get to actual dialogue in this one. Sometimes I see scenes so clearly in my own head that I wonder if I'm just assuming readers can see the same thing as me.

Hoo boy, my toddler has been giving me some GOOD Char inspiration lately. Being a mom is weird in that it gives me lots of experiences to translate into story details, but also gives me no time to write them. And Avrille thinking about her Occlumency exercises is pretty much exactly how I feel about writing. This reply is pretty much the only thing I'm going to write tonight since I'm in brain-dead land. Thanks so much for the review! I promise the next chapter will be done much sooner. It's already half-way there, and I have a much better idea of where I'm going with it than I did this one. ~Renny
