Characterization: I actually LOVED Hermione in this chapter. I think this is my favorite chapter for her characterization so far. She's very realistic here. I liked that she was more mature and accepted that maybe Lavender really does love Ron, and maybe he loves her too. That was a very good choice for the character. Also, I loved Draco's character here. I like the simple gesture of truce when he lends her the book. Good job.

Descriptions: I don't know if I got enough to really feel like I was IN the story, again. How did the library smell? Did people look frantic when Ron was brought to the hospital wing? Was the Great Hall loud during breakfast? Etc.

Emotions: I think you ALMOST had this one. You captured the minimum of Hermione's emotions. I could sort of feel when she was upset after Ron murmured Lavender's name, but I feel like there should have been more. She's loved this boy for the better part of five years, it would still hurt her to see him with someone else, even if she knows that's better in the end. And I think there should have been more to Hermione's shock about Draco being so reasonable in the library, you know?

Plot: I loved this chapter! I'm so happy Hermione has started moving on from Ron. And now that can make way for Draco! :D Yay! I wonder how they'll get together. I'm watching for it to be believable. Good job with the scene in the library. That was a great beginning to their truce.

Interactions: I've mentioned this. I loved the Draco/Hermione moment in the library. I think there could have been more drama with Ron being poisoned, though. Other than that, good job.

Pacing: This chapter moved very nicely, and I'm glad we're moving into the Draco/Hermione plotline. We'll see where things go from here, but it seems like you have a very good thing going.

On to chapter eight!
