Hello there! This is DarkRose from the forums here to review for you! :D I've actually read and reviewed the first three chapters of this story, so I'm starting here. So, let's go over things:

Plot: Well! I like that you're following the canon parts of the book. It's always interesting to see how an author envisions their story within the books. Good job! Hermione taking Cormac to the party--haha! What a dumb move. I even thought that in the book. You wrote those scenes well. I found them quite amusing. And I wonder how she's going to end up with Draco while he's still being such a toad! We'll have to see. :]

Characterization: Well, Hermione is quite good. I liked that you pointed out at the end that she doesn't quite feel like herself when it comes to trying to make Ron jealous. She's right to think that doesn't fit her personality. I was always confused as to why she would be that petty. Good job! And right now Draco is Draco. :P I can't wait to see how you change that in future chapters.

Descriptions: Good job bring the party scene to life. And mentioning Theodore Nott! :D He's so under-loved...I have a Dramione story where Hermione is Head Girl and Theo is Head Boy. It's my favorite thing I'm working on, so I was very excited to see you mention Theo, haha. Good job describing everything. I felt very much in the scene. The only thing that was a little lacking was what things sounded like. I always feel like that can help create a setting very well.

Emotions: Hmm, well, I'm interested that Hermione isn't as emotional about Ron as she was before. I feel bad that her feelings were hurt, but she seems to have gotten over it quite quickly. Odd!

Interactions: Well, Cormac is obnoxious, of course, so his interaction with Hermione was annoying as anything! But you wrote it very well! And I like the friendship you've portrayed between Harry and Hermione. Good job. And Draco! Hmmm...how are you going to change him believably so he and Hermione will end up together? I don't know, but I'm interested to see!

Pacing: Good job not rushing things so far! It's a common pitfall for authors to rush relationships. Hopefully you steer clear of that. I struggle with it too, don't worry. :]

Good job so far! I'll read more ASAP.

Yes Draco is a bit of a toad and it will be interesting to see how everyone reacts to their slowly budding friendship in later chapters.. I really hope that I can portray it well.
