I really loved the plot/idea you had in this! "If death was the lowest form of powerlessness, the ability to cause it was the epitome of strength" - that idea of power, death… all of it is so fitting to Voldemort and the way you just progressed from explaining how Voldemort had always feared death to the scene where he was about to kill Harry was great - it felt like even with 500 words you were able to take us on a journey.

Beautiful writing! :) I really enjoyed reading this! I thought you especially managed to portray Voldemort very realistically (which is, I think, quite hard to do).

This song was really like a lightning bolt of inspiration--I felt like it touched on the whole issue of Voldemort being so afraid of death, and so convinced that immortality was the highest form of being, but not being able to escape it.

I'm particularly happy to hear, first, that I managed to actually do something in 500 words, and second, that I portrayed Voldemort well. Voldemort is a tough character to pin down, and I wasn't sure if I'd done him justice. I also tend to err on the side of long-winded, so I'm happy to hear I did an all right job in such a short space.
