Hello there!
So I just finished your story and I have been meaning to review since the third chapter but decided to wait til I was completely done and rate the story as a whole as opposed to chapter by chapter. I just have to say that you are an amazing writer and I am so happy to have been able to read your writing! You allowed me to feel every emotion under the sun in the last 43 chapters and I've cried more than once! I don't think I've been able to put my laptop or phone down for the last three days. I've had close to sleepless nights and neglected more than one class assignment just to read what you had written. As a writer myself, I understand the gravity of that statement and I would like you to know, I mean every word! You are, shall I say, bloody brilliant! lol.
Ok, so now that I've told you how amazing you are, I would like to mention a few small things.
First off, I was stunned, amazed, and elated at the way the story progressed. When I originally read the summary and clicked on this story, I didn't expect more than a chapter or two about Draco teaching her to fly. When I realized that there were 43 chapters, I was terrified. I didn't know how the hell you were going to be able to drag it out and was scared to read on, yet I couldn't stop reading. This story progressed from one scene to the next so naturally and flawlessly that I was stunned, and very happily so!
On the same note, I was very happy at how some of you chapters had cliff hangers while others ended with a sweet kiss or something of the sort. This is something I need as I will NOT put a story down at a cliff hanger. I just can't do it. So when it was so late at night and I knew I had an early class, I thanked you so much for your sweet kiss ending to a chapter, allowing me to get a few hours of sleep before heading to my lecture.
I have one last thing to add to the continuity and this is going to be my only true critique. I had a little issue in one chapter when they came back from new years and you were discussing the classes that Draco and Hermione shared. Towards the beginning of the story, you had them both in Transfiguration with each other and they got scolded by McGonagall for not paying attention. After break however, you mentioned that Hermione was headed to Transfiguration but didn't have it with the Slytherin's so Draco would not be going with her. You then proceeded to list which classes she did and didn't have with Slytherin's. In that list, Transfiguration was mentioned as a WITH Slytherin. I got very confused at that point and had to alter the story in my mind so it would make sense. That is pretty much the only time when I was ever truly confused or upset and is the only improvement I have to give you.
Also, I would like to make mention as to the character development. I felt it was done exceptionally! The progression of each and every character was so realistic and natural that I didn't mind! Each character progressed to their personality. Blaise warmed up to Hermione and Draco much quicker whereas Lucius took a great amount of time and needed to see her loyalty in action before he would even give her a chance. These details are so important and I was happily surprised with how well you did in portraying them. I honestly feel that J.K. Rowling should read this story because I think that she would certainly be impressed! You kept so true to everything she had done, even down to your writing style, that I was blown away and ecstatic!
So I'm going to stop ranting now and leave it at that! :D Well done and congratulations! You're amazing!
