CRACKING CHAPTER!

So much to say... it's all going to be in the wrong order, sorry!

YAY FLINT IS DEAD- what? Magical Me? So that creepy woman knew that there was no journal? How did she manage to convince Flint that Lockhart's drivel was Voldemort's dark plans? Totally confused.

It's sad the Aurors died though. Harry is going to be annoyed.

IT WAS SO SWEET THAT HARRY CALLED MOLLY AND ARTHUR MUM AND DAD! It really was lovely. And the concern for Hermione was touching- I assume her parents are dead? :(

I thought Harry not wanting to let anyone in was very canon- like GoF and I remember Hermione saying once that he had a 'saving people thing'. It was adorable, Rose being so nice, and I'm glad she's made him see sense.

The family dinner was great too, although how you or Harry keep up with all the grandkids, I have no idea. I remember Octavia, and that is roughly it.

George's prank was pretty awesome- attacking the kids, not that adults, although it took me two reads to work that out. I also really liked the touch with James/Albus rivalry- very believable.

On the whole, another amazing chapter that I thoroughly enjoyed!

And I'm really glad Flint is dead- although I'd prefer mindless thugs to the clever evil woman. :(

Author's Response: Hello, again!

I'll follow your comments in the order they were received. Yes, Flint is dead, and I can't say that I'm going to miss him very much. From Lady Tenabra's point of view, he had served his purpose and become more of a liability than an asset, so he had to die. She gave Flint an ancient spell that was supposed to summon the Dark Lord's journal and Flint's imagination did the rest, convincing him that Voldemort had disguised the journal to make it look like a book that nobody would ever bother to look at: Magical Me. It was only a plot, to convince the rest of her followers that they had found the journal so that her plans carried the weight of the Dark Lord's name. So what is the book that she actually has now? We shall see...

I like to think that Harry got comfortable speaking to Molly and Arthur like family, although some readers didn't like the idea. I may yet change it. We shall see...

Harry still has a bad tendency to hide some things from his family, although he's gotten better about it as you'll see in some upcoming chapters. He and Rose have a very special relationship, which is an important element of the story.

The family dinner was loads of fun to write. It did slow the chapter down a bit and I was very tempted to scale it back extensively, but I'm glad I didn't.

Thanks for reading and reviewing! Hope to see you again soon.
