You have a fairly interesting premise here. I'm sure a lot of muggle-born students go through similar struggles with their families and friends from the non-magical world, and it's a pretty broad topic to explore. I look forward to seeing which aspects of the situation your story focuses on and how you deal with them.

You didn't specify an era for this story and the details of your first chapter don't really give any indication of what year it is, which left me really intrigued. The hostile reaction of the Slytherins to Lynette's blood status doesn't narrow it down much, either. I think it's going to be fun to try to discover where this story resides on the larger timeline of the Harry Potter universe.

The dialog between Lynette and her siblings was really nicely done. It felt genuine and warm and totally appropriate to a family setting. The dialog between Lynette and Daniel didn't flow quite as smoothly for me. I would have expected two 17-year-old friends to be a little more information with one another. It's not a huge thing, but it just read a little stiff.

There's not much more to say at this point. You've set an interesting story in motion, and I'd like to see where you take it.

It's nice to know that you found the premise of my story interesting. For me the biggest challenge is to make this story believable and real. I just hope I can do it properly.

About the era. Erm.. it's interesting that people are getting intrigued by it. It's just that I thought that the era wasn't important enough for this story. Now that I think about it, I know should be a bit more specific.

It's great that you liked the relationship I have created between Lynette and her siblings. About Daniel and Lynette, I can see your point. I need to add more depth to their relationship.

Finally, thank you for such a helpful review. It gave me a lot to think about.
