Review:Aphoride says:
Wow. Just... wow. I'm not really sure what to say, so I apologise in advance if this is a lot of rambling and random stuff all flung together.

Firstly, your last chapter was good, but this was just incredible. This was, to me, at least, so much better. I loved the way you wrote about the muggle world - you did it perfectly, really making me feel like I was there, like I was watching what was going on. The little details you put in were excellent - the bit about the spy, the mention of the KGB, the fact that the Queen was only recently crowned, the lone British flag in the skyline, the method of communication, the use of a radio instead of a tv - it was just brilliant. You really brought it to life.

Also, I loved how you connected the wizarding world and the muggle world with Archibald. Not many people write about Squibs, but I really like the fact that you made him one, and included some of the pureblood beliefs, with his parents disowning him. The communication between the two brothers, the idea that they're the only link between the two services (Aurors and MI6) is really nice and gives this - and their characters - something more.

I'm curious as to what Anastasia is planning - well, other than an assassination, obviously. At the moment, she still seems to be very talented, so I'm looking forward to see her flaws come into play and see how she works when she's actually out in the field. I think as I see more of her, I'll like her more :D (Seriously, don't worry about the fact that I'm not too keen on her - I'm incredibly picky with female OCs and I just love this story to pieces :D)

Duncan! Well, that wasn't entirely unexpected, lol, but it's still nice to see him again. I like that you're using an OC you've already developed in this - it connects the two events and the two stories, which is realistic seeing as the people who lived through one would no doubt live through the other. I loved the details about the bar, with the photos on the wall and the men all dressed in Scottish colours and listening to the rugby match. Once again, it really brought it to life :D

I'm definitely going to be keeping up with this story - I'm so curious about what's going to happen in this, where you're going with it and how everything is going to work out. Great, great job! Keep it up!

Author's Response: Hey glad you wanted to keep reading!

So I've read a lot of spy novels and I tried to incorporate what I've learned from them, and I'm also trying to include bits and pieces from the time period to maintain the setting, so I'm glad that seems to be working. And the idea of throwing magic into the equation just seemed to awesome to pass up.

Anastasia is definetely up to something. I don't want to give away spoilers, but her scenes all have a reason behind them:)

Duncan was so much fun to write I just had to bring him back and give him a bigeer role. I like the idea of using the same character a few years later and showing how they've grown, or in Duncan's case, not grown up at all haha.

Thanks a lot for such a great review!
