Review:VioletBlade says:
Hi there, VioletBlade here with your dreadfully late review! You know how much I love this story as I think it's really capturing a different side to characters we think we know so well!

Plot: I don't know if I commented on this in my last review, but I really like the style and continuation of plot this story is written in! I love how it goes from end to beginning, showing the audience instead of a progressive recovery, almost a depressing slide backwards into their history. I think this story worked perfectly for that! I do like how you've included other perspectives into this, that of her friends, and show how Elsie had to deal with people all around trying to get her to move on, but not knowing what in the world she was dealing with since they'd never gone through it.

Characterization: You were spot on here, in continuation from the previous chapter! James is dealing with the loss in the only way he knows how, and Elsie as well. Elsie still tries to baby James as if he's a replacement somehow of what she lost. I think it's completely believable how she acts towards her friends, pushing everyone away from her in her attempt to hang on to the grief she feels. My only CC would be that I did think this line was a bit harsh though, "It's been six months, Elsie," Dora said, ignoring her sister, "Time to move on." My only thing with this is that I feel like it has only been six months and that a true friend wouldn't say something as blatant as that after only that much time. I know a couple who went through this and I expect they'll need many years to deal with this and get past it. I think it would be a little more well-placed after a few years and if she was still acting in this way, but not yet. Otherwise everything else was brilliant and believable!

Grammar: Nothing stood out to me here so fantastic job on that!

Hope this review was helpful and I apologize about the wait again!

Author's Response: Thank you so much!

I'm glad you think it flows well backwards. I tried writing it in chronological order, but this worked so much better.

Oh, I actually originally had that part later on and when I switched it around I didn't even notice how odd that would be. I definitely can't picture ANYONE recovering from something like that in only a few months. I did try to make Dora someone who didn't understand and was a bit mean, though. But I agree with you that it was way too harsh and thanks for pointing it out!

Ah, I'm so relieved about my grammar :)

Thank you so much. This review was very helpful :D
