This looks like a very intriguing AU story so far. Since so much of the events of the books stemmed from the circumstanes of Lily's death, its very interesting to see how everything we're familiar with would have turned out differently.

I like how even though it was AU, the characters still seemed familar, paritucalrly Lily and her strong maternal instincts. I also liked how you portrayed Snape and his possesive love for Lily and disdain for James and willingness to sacrifice Harry.

The part with the Aurors investigating the crime scene was very well done and imaginative. Looks like this story has a lot of potential!

Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad to hear that the characters are on target. It's challenging to keep the characters acting like themselves when the circumstances have changed in such wild ways. :)

I sometimes feel like the first chapter moved too quickly, but I could never figure out where to expand it.
