Oh, dear, Terry is such a smart guuuy! See, I can also start with a thing about HP. I think I missed the horse-thing in the previous chapter though... how stupid am I? Speed reading is never a good thing, but such a habit. Moving on now xD
They're gonna find the grave stone, aren't they? Or aren't they and will Terry marry in 18whatever and live happily until he dies whenever xD Oh, the pessimist I am.
The Ministry is a bit behind I guess, not knowing time travel? Dear, dear. Love how you made the money be worth more though, just like the pound was. Yay! Ahem. I feel sorry for the man who got his gravestone erased though. Poor man. I use though a lot as well, dear dear.
How can the Doctor not know that there was a Second War? Is he an actual idiot? Okay, no, he's never an idiot... cause he's the Doctor. And cause he's plain awesome! Mycroft even knows him, how cool! I really wanted to see Sherlock's face when he found that out.
"Well, obviously I'm not actually in charge, but if you could wait for the Doctor, that'd be, uh... great." Oh, RORY! Rory's mah hero in this, even though he has a small part in the rather huge cast. I need a John-Rory conversation, so they both get more 'screentime' xD
I love how 11 & Rory think the exact same thing: text one person for the British Government? Though there I think you might have something weird going on: Mycroft knows about the Doctor through Torchwood, but then Torchwood - hang on, fangirlscream for Torchwood! - would have told the Doctor about the fact that Mycroft knew, no? If I'm talking rubbish, tell me.
Mycroft & Sherlock still no likey each other? Always the same with those two. And John interrupts - as always. He's like Master Interrupter. On that note as well.. John was a great job again, listening most of the time *did not watch Graham Norton with Martin Freeman*. Only bit, on 'companion'-like stuff, I think Rory would talk more. John is a listener, but Rory seems like the guy who would talk more - or is that just me?
Err.. what else, I managed to log out by now xD I fail. Dun ask me how I know that, I just do. So yeah, I'll be managing a couple of reads on this chapter - unlike last chapter.
Are you Moffat? ARE YOU MOFFAT? Or Godtiss, I dun care. You must be, there Mycroft is and Lestrade managed to not be there... Will they meet? For your own health and safety: make them meet! I'm so bad at threatening people actually, dun mind me.
Next up finally a meet between Mycroft & Lestrade? Some Angels?
Write a longer chapter when you're at it, I can't fuel really long reviews anymore xD I wonder how I do it with my randomness. And look how little shipperheart in this review! Only some Mystrade-wanting! :D
NO WAIT! Torchwood? TORCHWOOD! I NEED JACK/IANTO if Ianto's still alive, 'course. I don't want Ianto do be dead or I'll shoot you. Or something like that, threatening once more.. bad me.
Author's Response: Terry does need his awesome moments. He was put into Ravenclaw for a reason, y'see. And I can't believe you missed the thing with the horse. That was pretty much the coolest thing he's ever done in his life. This disappoints me. -shakes head-
Well, to be fair to the Doctor, he hasn't had any contact with wizards since the Statute of Secrecy because they've done such a remarkable job of hiding themselves and as he's technically (TECHNICALLY) a Muggle he can't exactly worm his way into the wizarding world for a history lesson.
I pictured Sherlock's face when he found that out. It was a similar face and tone to "One mention of Baskerville and he sends my handler down to...spy on me incognito! Is that why you're calling yourself Greg?"
John and Rory do need more screen time and I think they'd definitely get along - they have a lot in common. This needs to happen.
The Doctor knows about Torchwood and Torchwood knows about the Doctor, but as far as I know they function quite independently without him, and I can't imagine them contacting the Doctor every time they make a new contact within the Government, can you? "Hey Doctor, it's Captain Jack here. Just thought I'd let you know we've gotten to know another British politician, just in case you want to keep tabs on him!"
I think the world would stop spinning if Mycroft and Sherlock ever actually acted like they could tolerate each other. I think there's an underlying concern or affection there - you'd have to dig very, very deep to find it though - and neither of them would ever admit to it or dare show the other that they care. Look at the extent Mycroft goes to to make sure Sherlock doesn't know he's worried about him. I could write pages and pages on this, but I'm not going to.
Rory's a good interrupter as well, I think. John's the "Hey guys can you stop bickering like children for a bit and get on with what we're meant to be doing" interrupter and Rory's the "Hold up wait a minute Doctor WHAT did you just say we have to do?" interrupter.
Mycroft and Lestrade were both there, but I didn't write any interaction with them because it's incredibly hard to keep track of so many characters and Mycroft's more interested in meeting this famous alien and finding out exactly what he has to do. There will be interaction in the next chapter.
This was an unusually short chapter for me, I admit. I will try to write a longer one, but they tend to just happen and if I force it it will be terrible and icky so I'll just wing it and see how it goes. No promises, but it should be longer than this one.
Torchwood only exists within the Whoverse in this fic, mainly because I'm first and foremost a Whovian and have watched very, very little Torchwood. It was basically just a reference to explain the link between Mycroft and the Doctor. I apologise, but this is a triple-fandom story and I'm not turning it into a quadruple one :P
