I've never been a big fan of wedding chapters/stories, to be honest. Usually they wind up being somewhat boring, with too much oohing and aahing over the dresses and the flowers and the gorgeous bride taking the groom's breath away and how perfect everything is and so on. So I didn't enjoy this chapter as much as the previous story, but it was pretty darn good for a wedding!

I was torn between amusement and sympathy for Petula. It would be so frustrating to have your mother and sisters making all the decisions for you, especially if you already argue with them at times. Then the stress of the whole event makes things seem even worse. Still, as the reader, it was somewhat funny, especially Petula's mental asides about Majorca and aliens.

I was glad that she finally stood up to her mother and sisters and got a bit of time with her friends before the wedding. I suppose that's a good start for her.

Author's Response: Ah yes, I actually dislike weddings greatly. But for Petula, it was just... the only thing I could write for her, if that makes sense. Although she does appear in Dunstan's chapter, and that was fun to see her 10 years later, basically.

Poor little Petty, she has a crap family, but deep down they do love each other. Probably only because they have to, but they do. Her sisters are pretty wretched. She did get a nice wedding in the end!

I have to admit, my favorite part of this chapter was Petula's alien thoughts. She's a hoot with her crazy Muggle novels. Thanks for the review!
