First of all, I think you are doing a good job of undertaking a HUGE project of filling in the gap of 19 years between the end of DH and the epilogue. For the most part, your story is well done. You have a way of paying a lot of attention to logical detail that most people just ignore and because of that, the story as a whole (the exposition and the peripheral action) fits together really well. It is clear that you take time to think before you write and the whole story isn't one, giant dialogue between the characters that pops up so often on this site. But, I do think your story could be improved if you took some time to rethink the personalities of the characters that Jo has already given us. I think you're trying to stick very much to canon but the most frustrating thing for me being a HUGE Ginny fan is to see the way that she has been portrayed. Yes, Ginny is strong-willed, determined, and quite fiesty. But she's not a manipulative schemer who uses spells and pressure to entrap the man she loves. Admittedly, she does redeem herself when she stops using the Touch of Lust spell but I think that on the whole, you're exaggerating her insecurites a bit too much (her defensiveness, not really letting Harry propose on his own, etc.). And I don't think that Harry would really let himself get roped into that. Just something to consider maybe?
Also, I know you've edited the Angelica/ Angelina issue but it's popping up still in later chapters.
Again, amazing work. I can't judge too much because I haven't submitted anything in years (since before DH was released) and I'm still struggling with taking on the 19 years. So keep it up!

Author's Response: Thank you for the review, and welcome back! Except for a review in 2009 I see you have been away since 2008. Mrs_Grainger's two stories are highly recommended, if you have not read them, The Summer after the War and The Winters after the War.
I am working on the Angelica/Angelina issue. As soon as the queue opens up I will have the last two chapters re-edited, and I have used my find/replace to fix it. When I have time I will go back and see if I can fix some more. Really stupid that I keep having problems with it. There will be new chapters too!
Ginny's character. Well, there are two reasons for something to happen in writing. One is to stay true to the logic of the character, and the other is because you want something to happen, it is important to the story you are telling.
Ah, the Touch of Lust Spell. Maybe a little manipulative. Ginny wrestles with it, but SHE WANTS HARRY. I don't think I am pushing canon too much.
I tried to portray the whole getting the engagement ring as very spur of the moment, with Ginny being as surprised that she got away with it as Harry is that it happened. And Harry really wants to marry Ginny, so to him it is not so much being forced to do something as it happening too fast.
The plot reasons have to do with Ginny getting everything she wanted, having her Happily Ever After dream come true, and then finding out that life is not quite so simple. My favorite saying is
For every problem in the world there is an answer that is simple, obvious, and wrong.
Real life is not so simple, as Ginny will find out.
