Since I really enjoy Austen's works as well as the Rose/Scorpius pairing, I am very intrigued to see where you are going with this. So far, the characters are very interesting, particularly the Malfoys background. And even though Lily is annoying in her conventionality, she is also fun to read. I can't wait to read more. Author's Response: It's an interesting combination - Jane Austen and Scorose - but in my head, it's about the only way I can make the ship work successfully. Scorpius is made to be a Darcy, and I look forward to writing him with that inspiration in mind. :D

Lily is conventional and it's strange that it makes her annoying because such characters used to be really popular as heroines (okay, in the 18th century, but still...) - yet now, it's the rebels who make the better heroines, while the Lilies are just so... boring. :S She has a lot to learn in this story, and I hope that she'll develop into something more interesting, too. ;)
