Yes, Lucy isn't exactly the family favorite, so her parents aren't quite as picky about her choice of husband as long as he fits the 'basic' criteria. I imagine they figure that she'll probably 'screw up' somewhere on down the line anyway, poor thing. You'll see just what her family thinks of her if you keep reading.
