Author's Response: i really wanted to play up the fact that some people do not have magical happy reunions with lost fathers that walked out on them. Mr. Flynn walked out on Avery and her mother for a reason. He's not a good person. As much as I wanted there to be one of those slow motion running scenes, Mr. Flynn is not that guy. I'm so glad you're enjoying the story! I really appreciate the review :)
