She's so bitter it's almost painful to read. I can only imagine how painful to write it was. I feel sorry for their baby, gosh. And for scorpius. He seems less like a pig here. And for Lily too. she's not learning or growing from this situation, she's trapping herself in a loveless marriage... and she seems so desperate.
A really good piece of characterization and writing. 10/10

Author's Response: She's dreadfully bitter, which made it frightening to write this in the first person - I don't know what unconscious sector of my brain this story emerged from to take on such a voice as Lily's. :S Both she and Scorpius are rather terrible people, thinking mostly of themselves and how other people see them. And no matter what manipulations they attempt for their personal benefit, they end up being miserable. Together, but miserably so.

Thank you very much for reading and reviewing this story. It's fantastic that you liked the characterization and writing - it's certainly the most disturbing thing I've written, and I'm really glad to hear that it paid off in the end. ^_^
