Hermione & Charlie, huh? I never pictured them together at all, to be honest, but the way you set it up was very convincing. ;) I always thought that Charlie might be too old for her, but I was never good with remembering the ages of the Weasley children, except for Ron & Ginny since they're one year apart. xD

Your writing style flows so wonderfully & it's really pleasing to read! I liked this a lot - you capture the holiday spirit quite nicely :) And I'm glad that Hermione managed to loosen up after all and pull a prank, but nothing too grand like the ones Fred & George pulled off, you know? Laughing powder was a good idea for a mild prank :D

Author's Response: I think my interest for this pairing was born a little before DH was released as I thought about which pairings I ideally wanted to happen. Ron/Hermione is all right and it's sweet in the books, but it still wasn't quite my first choise. Charlie also needed someone and Tonks who could have been a possibility was already taken. So that's Hermione/Charlie then. Somehow I really can see them together. Charlie is about seven years older than the trio so that's not even as much as the age gap in Remus/Tonks I think. I'm glad you liked the pairing here though.

I'm happy you thought it flows well and is easy to read. This was a lot of fun to write and I was surprised how easy it felt to write Hermione and I hope it sounded like her too.
