hahaha I've been in the "Can you please talk to him/her for me situations". So amazingly akward and you captured it perfectly.

There was just one thing that bugged me. And I know that its stupid but it gets on my nerves. You said that Nubia swore in Egyptian, when its highly unlikely since Egyptian is an extinct language that died about 1500 years ago witn the invasion of the arabs. Egyptains speak arabic not Egyptian.

Anyway sorry for the lecture and you probaly don't care, but I'm Egyptain and when people ask me if I speak Egyptain, I find the nearest object and throw it at them then give them the full length version on the history of the Egyptain language so you got of lightly.

Oh, and I love the story, keep writing =)

Author's Response: Haha, please don't throw anything at me. :)

I do know the thing about Arabic, though, since I have done research on Egypt and several other countries around the world. However, as a writer, I have to stick to what's realistic versus what may necessarily BE real. What I mean by this is Dominique, who has never left either the UK or France and is hardly worldly to knowledgeable of other cultures is highly unlikely to know this. She's very much a sheltered writer, and later, a sheltered bookstore worker.

As you've mentioned, it's an unfortunately common mistake. It'd also be incredibly random and weird if Dominique would suddenly be able to identify what Arabic sounds like...when other people speak unidentifiable foreign languages, it is the normal and common thing to associate them with the person's nationality. Hence, Mexican people get asked to speak 'Mexican' or Chinese people 'Chinese', when really, there's no such thing as a Mexican or Chinese language.

Thank you very much for the review! No worries, I appreciate the concern on your part, and I feel fortunate to have such detailed readers. :)
