A very interesting and well-written one-shot. Your uses of descriptive language and similes are excellent, and it is really enjoyable to read. You protray Ginny's emotions of saidness and hurt and rejection excellently.

One thing you haven't explained is why Ginny doesn't love Harry any more. Becuase she knows that Harry loves her, that he doesn't want everyone to love him, he doesn't want to be the Chosen One; he just wants to be normal.

Still, the story makes the reader feel very sorry for both Harry and Ginny, Ginny especially as she is being neglected by her mother. It's so sad as I don't think Molly realises what she's doing, but it is tearing Ginny apart. A very sad, but excellently-written one-shot, well done.

Author's Response: Thank you! I don't generally pride myself on using figurative and descriptive language, and in this I actually thought everything was rather tasteless, so your kind opinion means a lot to me.

I wanted to show how Ginny was feeling - how she had felt since she had really started dating Harry - in the least words possible. And while that's no excuse for not outright explaining why she doesn't love Harry any more, I'm not entirely sure that she doesn't love him. I think that a lot of her doubts here have to do with her just being insecure. No one is confident one hundred percent of the time, least of all Ginny who, since hitting puberty, was described almost constantly as strong and stubborn and confident in the books. And maybe Molly is even right; maybe it's just cold feet, or even just the frustrations she had pent-up over the years. I didn't really write this knowing for sure whether Ginny or Molly was more right about what Ginny was feeling, so I leave that up to you to interpret.
