This story was really cute; it reminds me of an e-mail I got a few years back. It actually brought tears to my eyes at one point.

A few suggestions, though. You described the funeral as a "wonderful service". I don't think that's the best adjective, since it's such a somber setting.

"He watched her let go of her own demons" sounds awkward. Try rephrasing it.

"She looked doubtful and upset. Like a child who had just lost her mother." Of course she did! Maybe you could find a better way of saying this? I know what you're trying to say, I just don't know if it's the best way of going about it.

Good work, though. And beautiful banner. I got a lovely banner done recently by FairyQueen for my story "Always". Its a Snape/Lily one-shot; it'll be awesome if you check it out (and that gorgeous banner I got!!)
