Oooh I see why you like this chapter, it's perfectly chilling and a teasing glimpse both of pureblood high society (which I can never get enough of) and of Andromeda's own vulnerability.

There were lots of little things I like about this one Gubbs - the pendant, the elder sister/younger parallel, and that there's enough to last til June :)

Ok this a rather rubbishy review, but my thoughts are rather scrambled. =(

Pureblood high society has always fascinated me, and I'm glad to have an excuse to look at it again. There's just so much to mine in that whole aspect of this universe, especially in this era with these characters. Andromeda does reveal her vulnerability in public here, doesn't she? And to Rodolphus, of all people.

The pendant was random, and it occurred to me just now that I have to put it back in (thanks for reminding me), the parallel is definitely a motif to take note of. However, I calculated things incorrectly; there's only enough to get to and possibly through May. Of course, by the time May rolls around, there will be much, much more written, so we'll be ready for June, but still.
