This is amazing! Celestie recommended this one to me because I loved her version of the "two way story" (what else can you call it?), and it's fantastic to see another like it on the archive. It's such a creative way of structuring a story, and it must take a lot of effort to make it work in both directions.

I also really liked the plot, the way that the two characters are each cornered. They're very strong, but they're trapped in this Mexican standoff. I got the feeling that no matter how often the one guy stated that he could kill her, he wouldn't be able to convince himself to do it - he says it too often, and Hermione here is very strong (which I always love to see in a story). The character dynamics here are really well-constructed, and even though this was only 500 words, there was a whole deeper story going on that was highly developed and fascinating.

The guy did remind me of Draco, especially as this scene mirrored that on the Astronomy Tower in HBP, but it could equally be Scorpius, as Hermione seemed older. I liked that you left it up to the reader to put a name and face to him - it adds to the mystery of the whole story.

This story was amazing! And I don't know why I haven't read more of your stories. I definitely see progress from the Remus/Tonks one of yours I read, but I think I'm biased because I love structure of this story too much. *bows down*
