Author's Response: Thank you so much! This review really made my day :)

It did take a long time--complex family trees, reading stories that featured insane characters ("The Boleyn Inheritance" by Philippa Gregory was my main source), setting the mood, etc. I've got one more chapter to write, and then I think I'm done with this story.

I was fascinated with the idea of an entirely pure-blood family, with an amazingly intricate history, a sort of different class from the Black family. The Vanderbilts will be mentioned often in my upcoming stories.
