Review:Alopex says:
Luna is one of the most fascinating characters in the Harry Potter books, but she's also one of the most difficult to capture. I rarely come across a portrayal of her that I like whole-heartedly, but I liked her here. You seem to have a feel for her character. Saying good-bye to Dumbledore seemed a very Luna-ish thing to do. I think having this scene be a dream fits Luna as well. The symbolism of the dream seemed well thought out. Just as Dumbledore fell from the tower, so did Luna, but she ended up flying with a phoenix, showing that death isn't really a "fall" but rather a transformation or journey. It was as if Dumbledore was resurrected just for this dream, an image reinforced by his blessing her.

Since dream sequences are often not well done, I was still wary about this one until the final sentence about the feather. That was the perfect touch! I also liked the part about McGonagall finding her. She seemed very motherly there, which touched me, as Luna lost her mother. I am very impressed by how much meaning you managed to convey in so few words. It's almost like poetry.

Author's Response: Thank you so very, very much. I'm so glad you liked this and liked the symbolism.

From the feedback I've received, it sounds like I melded the dream and dream-like sequence well.

Thank you for the comment at the end especially that it was almost like poetry. I must admit that I'm fascinated with French 'proesie' and that's what I was sort of trying to do (the dream part was more important).

This is one of my favourite reviews now, right up there with Bella_Portia's and Ydnas_Odell's reviews of my hidden novella.
