Nice, I really liked this chapter! I can't say there was anything new or surprising about Peter's first ride on the Hogwarts Express and his first Sorting Ceremony, but I did enjoy reading it. It's too bad he and James got started off on the wrong foot :( Haha. And I really liked the little dichotomy you displayed between them - how James was with his well-dressed parents and had a nice trunk and a fancy owl, while no one in Peter's family cared enough to come since they were dealing with their problems and all. I didn't get very much of Peter's personality in this - he could have been any other scared, wide-eyed first-year longing for approval and acceptance. I guess he did blend into the crowd compared to James and Remus and Sirius in general, but I would have liked some new kind of twist or some interesting facet of personality that I haven't seen in him before. Maybe I should just wait for the rest of the story and see how he unfolds as a character, hmm? :) The writing was great and very clean, as in the first chapter. You write very well! Nice job on this story so far, and keep up the good work :)
