Chapter 1: Getting caught.
[View Online]  [Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

“God Ro, are you nearly done yet?” A husky voice called behind from me, nearly making me lose my focus.

“Nearly done, Just gotta-” I called out, spraying the last letter on the headmistresses door, when someone cut me off.

“FREEZE!” A shrill voice shrieked, her footsteps advancing towards us. I looked up, my dark brown hair covering most of my face, but lets face it, we all know she knew it was me.

“Run!” Rolland yelled, tearing down the hall, grabbing my arm and dragged me as he ran past. Not getting any time to pack my stuff away, I bolted out of the hallway and down three flights of stairs. I was practically flying.

We burst through the double doors leading into the grand hall, before stopping short. There in front of us was every single faculty staff that was at Beauxbaton’s, forming a semi circle around us.

We were screwed.

“Shit, shit shit shit.” Rolland cursed under his breath in French, raking a hand through his blonde tousled hair. I was frozen in place, my eyes going wide as they closed us in.

Headmistress Lise strode in front of us, stopping only a few feet away with her hands on her hips, nose pointed up like she smelt something horrible.

“My word, never in my fifty years of being here have I ever seen downright disgusting behavior!” She shrieked, which probably woke the whole flipping castle.

“Uh..” Great, Ro. Cant even string up a whole sentence.

“What do you have to say for yourself!” Lise spat, crossing her arms over her chest. With her white fluffy hair, bright blue eyeshadow and red lipstick, she looked a mess.

“Um.. Sorry?” I squeaked, shrugging. It wasn’t the first time I have gotten caught, but this seemed like the last straw.

“I’m calling your parents, right now. Its best you pack your bags now young lady, because trust me when I say this: You will never, ever step foot in this school again. As for you, Rolland, I will think of your punishment later.” She sniffed, walking out of the grand hall, her little minions in tow.

We waited until Ms. Hartley, the caretaker left the room before we howled out in laughter.

“Oh my god! Her face!” Rolland wheezed, doubling over in laughter.

“‘I’m calling your parents right now!’ What a load of bullshit!” I mocked her, snorting with laughter.

“Come on, lets get you packing.” He guided me towards the double doors, and down another hall that lead to the girl and boy dorms. Making my way up the girl dorms steps, Rolland called out behind me. “You gonna be okay?”

“Yeah, I’ll be fine.” I called back, suppressing a grin as I shut the door behind me and entered my room which held all of my best friends in it.

“Oh my god! What happened?” Carolina shouted, jumping off the bed and racing towards me.

“Well.. Me and Rolland went out and then we got caught. They cornered us into the grand hall, can you believe that!” I exclaimed, dragging out my suitcases from under my bed and opening up my draws.

“What.. What are you doing?” Adelia, my younger sister asked, confused. Everyone else in my room looked confused as well.

“Oh.. Yeah, uh.. I’m getting kicked out.” I mumbled, shoving everything into one suitcase, before reaching the other and piling all of my shoes in there. Reaching out for a third suitcase, I emptied my closet of all my dresses and whatnot, dumping them into that suitcase, and sitting down on the floor.

“WHAT?!” Everyone screamed. What can I say, people love me.

“She said she’s had enough of me. That, and I cant ever step into this castle again.” I said, rolling my eyes, feeling five sets of eyes boring into my back.

“What did you do now?” Isabelle, my absolute best friend in the whole world asked me, rubbing her temples.

“Well, I spray painted ‘Headmistress Lise is a stupid fat cow’ then drew some cows along the edge of the wall. No biggie.” I explained, grabbing out my wand to strip all of my posters from the wall, folding them, then shrinking them so they’d fit.

“Cant she like.. Wash it off like all the other times?” Isabelle asked, flipping her blonde hair over her shoulders. She was like a princess, with her long blonde hair cascading along her back, her eyes were a sparkling blue which were rimmed with black eyeliner and mascara, her face was flaw free. Her chest was the right size, she was slim and had long legs. But if she was the princess, I was the fucking queen.

“Cant. I made it so no one can scrub it off, except me which I obviously wont do.” Honestly, I didn’t want my nails getting wrecked.

“Please, please don’t go!” My little sister cried, hugging my legs to try and prevent me from going. My bags were packed, they were in the car, along with my parents. Adelia was the best thing that was in my life right now, as well as Isabelle. They’re the only ones -with the exception of my parents- who knew how much my life sucked.

Yeah, we were rich, and yeah they say that money buys you happiness but it doesn’t. No seriously, it doesn’t. I bought a new wizard car this week and I still felt depressed.

“I have too, baby. I’m sorry. I’ll see you this holidays.” I whispered, unwrapping her arms around my legs and stepping back. Caroline barreled me into a hug. “I’ll miss you so much.” She cried, tears running down her face.

I laughed a little, pretending to wipe tears in my eyes, when really I couldn’t be bothered.

Turning to Isabelle, my tears were real ones. I felt a pang of regret. Why did I have to do it? I could of let Rolland do it on his own. Then I would be eating in the grand hall right now with our group, instead of saying goodbye. Isabelle squeezed me into a hug, and felt wetness on my cheek. She was crying. It takes a lot to make Isabelle cry.

“Be good. Be safe. Try not to get into too much trouble, yeah?” She bubbled, wiping tears from her eyes. I nodded, not trusting my voice to speak.

Grabbing my wand, I put a spell on my suitcases to make them follow me. I said goodbye to everyone else, and lastly Rolland, before turning around with my head held high. I strided confidently towards the double doors leading towards outside, when someone stopped me.

“You forgot to say goodbye.” A voice whispered in my ear, causing me to shiver.

“Why of course not, yours was saved for last.” I whispered back, turning around and jumping into my boyfriends arms.

I kissed him softly, and he set me down with a sigh.

“I love you forever.” He murmured into my hair, pressing me closer.

“Until death do us apart.” I whispered, breathing out slowly.

“And even then.” We said at the same time, looking up and slowly grinning, before walking out of the doors and walked across the windows that looked into the grand hall where people were gawking at me like they did when I first came to that school. I guess it was right for them to gawk- their queen bee was leaving. Who would take my place?

Isabelle?

Caroline?

Or.. Katie? Oh god, Katie was a hot mess. I highly doubted she could take my place.

I placed my luggage into the trunk of the car, before hopping in the front seat. My mother sat in the back, as usual.

“What are we going to do with you, Rosietta?” My mother sighed, leaning towards me and looking at me with her stormy grey eyes?

I shrugged and looked straight ahead.

“Let me join the circus?”

Yeah, right.
