Chapter 1: Prologue
[View Online]  [Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

I was looking out over the grounds at Hogwarts from the astronomy tower. My blonde, curly hair blowing gently in the breeze. The astronomy tower was my place, it was the only place I could be alone. Scholl officially starts in one week but I had to be here because I was the daughter of Professor Snape one of the most intimidating professors at Hogwarts.

The rest of the week went by quickly and I spent most of the time doing inventory with dad in the potion ingredients cupboard. One the night of everyone’s arrival I was sitting in the astronomy tower waiting for the lights of the boats to signal the start of my fourth year at Hogwarts, and with a new year comes as new attitude and I, Haven Lily Snape vow to change my ways

“I, Haven Lily Snape will no longer be a fighter or a slut but a quiet, bookworm,” I murmured

“Yeah right, like that will ever happen, there is a reason you’re my best friend and I know for a fact that Haven Lily Snape, the quiet bookworm will never happen,” someone stated from behind me. I turned to find that my best friend Harry Potter was standing behind me. I met him in the first Defence against the Dark Arts class we ever had bonding over how we both thought that Professor Quirrel was a stuttering fool. We’ve been best friends ever since, even though I wasn’t part of the ‘golden trio’ because I was housed in Slytherin I was still best friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. I don’t care what anyone says Hermione is a kick ass witch and the only reason I’m passing muggle studies. Though I don’t I normally hang out with them at the main meals, we’re always together in classes and before we go to sleep.

“HARRY!” I squealed, I jumped up and hugged him, I hadn’t seen him all holidays.
“The boats haven’t arrived yet, how come you’re here?” I questioned

“If I didn’t know any better, I would think you weren’t happy to see me,” I laughed
“Dumbledore wanted the Weasley’s here and because Hermione and I where there we flooed over with them last night,”

“And you couldn’t come and find me?!” I exclaimed

“We were tired,’ a different voice said ‘we wanted to sleep,’ a mass of red hair appeared out of the shadows
“Ron! Is Hermione here?” I hugged him

“Yes, I’m here, now get off Ron and hug me!’ I rolled my eyes. Hermione was my partner in crime, I guess you could say. I was a little more forward as she was shy; I was the only person she told everything to, for example I was the only one that knew that she was hopelessly in love with Ron. But of course I told her everything too, she was the only one that knew that I despite my reputation I hadn’t actually done the nasty, contrary to popular rumours.
Hermione, Harry, Ron and I entered the grand hall together and I whispered to her
“How’s the Ron situation?” she blushed

“He still doesn’t know, and I don’t plan on him knowing either, at least not for a few years anyway,”

“Come off it ‘Mione, you and I both know that he likes you, hey its fourth year, isn’t there a Yule ball or something?’

“How did you know about the Yule Ball? Dumbledore only told a select few students and you weren’t one,’

“Duh, come on Hermione my last name is Snape, my dad is Severus Snape, I know these things,’ I laughed. We parted ways as I went to the Slytherin house table and sat at the end by myself, other than the golden trio, I don’t have friends. I dazed off in a haze as Dumbledore made a speech about the visiting schools and the tri-wizard tournament. Then the first years where housed and the feast began, I barely ate anything anxious to go back to the common room and start studying. I wanted to be an auror and I figured there was no pain in getting a head start on everything. I slung my bag onto my shoulder and made my way to the common room with everyone else. I saw his pale blonde hair peeking through the tops of the crowd. Though he wasn’t hard to miss he was a lot taller than most of the students at Hogwarts. He walked past me and knocked me to the floor accidentally, my books spilled out of my arms and onto the floor, he then turned and realised he had knocked over a Slytherin and not just a random.

“I’m sorry, truly,”

“No you’re not,” his grey eyes bore into me

“Yes, I am, I’m Malfoy, Draco Malfoy,”

“I know, I’ve been in your house for four years, you’ve never noticed me before,”

“Are you sure you’re not new, a transfer from Beauxbatons or something, I’m pretty sure I would remember a gorgeous person such as yourself,”

“Yeah, I’m sure,” I was sure my purple eyes where now turning a dark colour with annoyance, who was he to say that I was a transfer?! Just because he didn’t notice me doesn’t mean I was a transfer! I got up and started to walk away when I felt a hand grip my wrist

“Gorgeous, I didn’t get a name”

“Snape, Haven Snape,” I said matching his tone. I saw him stunned, his mouth dropped open and I walked in the direction to the dungeons with a sense of smug satisfaction.

I opted out from going to the common room and headed towards the potions classroom instead, I entered to see my father standing there looking over lesson plans for the term without looking up he said
“Haven, what are you doing here?”

“Well, hello to you to father,” I said sarcastically, he smirked

“Dad, I was wondering if I could have the potions for the first few weeks so I could practice them,”

“Well, I suppose you can because of the simple reason that your O.W.L.s are next year and I guess you should study up,”

“Thanks dad, I app-” I was cut off by the sound of footsteps entering the room
“Professor Snape, I was hoping to find you here,”

“Mr Malfoy, what do you need?”

“I was hoping that I could get ahead on the class by having the first few weeks of potions homework early,” my father went to the back office and pulled out two folders of homework and potion recipes and handed one to Draco and I each

“Mr Malfoy, you may leave I need to speak to Haven about her extra-curricular activities,” Malfoy left silently and disappeared out the door

“What’s wrong dad?”

“Nothing I just wanted him to leave so I could do this,” he walked over to me and gave me a hug, I immediately understood why, my father isn’t that good with public displays of affection
“Goodnight Haven,”

“Night dad,” I gave him another hug and then walked out of the classroom whilst tucking my homework in my bag.

“So, Haven Snape, how have I never noticed a beauty like you before?” Draco said

“Maybe the fact that I have never paid any attention to you like every other girl in Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, I’m not one to swarm after a guy,” lie, I liked him since first year

“Well, why not? I’m gorgeous, rich, smart, well-travelled, did I mention gorgeous,”
“Not to mention modest, arrogant, egotistical,”

“Ouch Haven, that hurt,”

“Glad I left a mark,” by this time we were at the dungeons
“Pureblood,” I muttered and the door swang open. I plonked down on one of the leather couches in the middle of the common room; everyone was in their dorms, at a party or stumbling around the grounds drunk

“Why aren’t you at the party Haven?’ he sat down next to me and put his arm around me
“It’s not my scene,”
“Not your scene?! I did some research on you Haven and I have found out that you have lap danced the entire boy population of Hufflepuff, gotten drunk and table danced at nearly every party and I happen to know for a fact that fire whisky is your beverage of choice,”

“So? I opted for a night in for once, change of attitude for the new year,”

“That’s bull, if I’m going to get to know you more, what better way to do it then at a party and I happen to know that there is one going on in the Gryffindor common room right now, so go upstairs and get changed, we’re going to a party,” he said with a smirk.

Chapter 2: Parties, Purple and Misjuged Personalities
[View Online]  [Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

Authors Notes: I want to dedicate this chapter to the lovely Joan Jett, the writer of the brilliant Neon Angel on the Road to Ruin. She is a talented girl who I can honestly say was my inspiration to start up an account on this site. Big love to her :)

“NO! Did you not just hear me? New personality, new year, do you want me to give you the full long detailed speech?” He smirked in his signature Malfoy smirk and I caved, I always caved. I did have a craving for fire whiskey and I wasn’t one to get drunk in my room, on my bed... alone. So I got up off the couch and glared at him once more before walking up the stairs to my room. I had quick shower and got dressed, I performed a spell that dried my hair and I applied my eyeliner with a quick beauty spell. I went to walk out of the room and I gave myself a once over in a mirror before I left. Thank the lord. My hair was a mess, my natural ginger roots were showing against my light blonde hair. Thank Merlin I was a metamorphagus I concentrated really hard and my ginger roots disappeared. I looked down at myself and I did look hot even if I did say so myself. I was wearing a purple mini dress that grazed just passed my butt, black stockings that covered my legs and stopped anything from popping out that I didn’t want to and nude coloured stilettos. Thinking that my outfit needed something more I concentrated again and purple streaks that matched the colour of my purple lavender coloured eyes appeared in my hair.
Walking out of the room and downstairs I thought about how Malfoy had never likened me to my father. I was a wall flower so I guess my name never came up in one of the ‘Slytherin royalty’ conversations. I didn’t look like my father at all, I looked mostly like my mother or so I’m told my mother died when I was little. Even before she died apparently she didn’t stay around for very long. I did share some traits with my father, I inherited his pasty complexion, his intelligence and his personality but besides my complexion I got most of my looks from my mum, except for my metamorphagus skills I got them from somewhere along my father’s line of inheritance, he just missed out on that specific gene. I got my height, naturally curly red hair and love of clothes from my mum. I arrived downstairs and I saw Draco leaning against the back of the couch looking up at me in all of his sexiness, he cocked an eyebrow at me and checked my out stopping for an agonizingly long moment at my boobs. I rolled my eyes and walked across the common room and stepped into the hall Draco soon falling into step next to me.

“So the point of you making me get dressed up to go to this stupid party at the Gryffindor common room is?”

“So I can get to know you better,”
“So this isn’t just a big facade for trying to get into my pants?” Draco put a hand to his heart and imitated being wounded

“Ouch Haven, that hurt, I can’t believe you would think I would do such a thing. I am not one to take advantage of a girl!” I laughed and said

“Well there was that handful of girls in France, most of the girl population of this school, oh! And those few girls from Brazil.”

“Okay maybe, I have a few times. But I’m taking some of your advice, you know new attitude for the New Year,” by this time we were at the Gryffindor tower and the Fat Lady was singing but stopped instantly when she realised we weren’t at the party or Gryffindor’s.

“Are you here for the party dears?” she asked in her usual happy go lucky tone, I looked a Draco who wore an amused expression on his face, you didn’t have to know him well to figure out that he thought the idea of the choice of painting to guard the Gryffindor tower was comical.

“Quidditch” I mumbled in a low under tone inaudible to anyone but the Fat Lady.

“Yes, now give us the password so we can get in!” Draco said in his usually snarky tone.

“Well, I never! There is no need to be rude, besides Miss Snape here just so happens to have said the password moments ago, if you were listening sir, you would have heard it!’ she said in a rather rude tone, after she had finished her ramble she swung the portrait hole open to reveal a swirl of drunkenness and stupidity. Thank Merlin Draco didn’t question how I knew the password, he leaned into say something to me when I heard a high pitched squeal coming from the opposite side of the room.

“DRAKIE!” I turned my head and saw a pug faced loon coming towards us, which I soon recognised to be Pansy Parkinson; she ran towards us and jumped into Draco’s arms he hesitantly hugged her back and looked over her shoulder at me with a look on his face that screamed help me. In revenge for making me go to this stupid party I just rolled my eyes and made my way up to Hermione’s room, knowing that she’s either asleep or studying because parties just weren’t her thing.
Sure enough as soon as I walked into Hermione’s room there she was asleep in her bed oblivious to the fact that she had open textbooks strew across her bed. So being the best friend that I am I took a running start and jumped onto her bed and woke her with a start. She sat up and looked around trying to figure out what the hell woke her from her slumber and when she came face to face with me it became obvious she got out of bed and made her way to her closet and simply said

“Let me guess Haven, there is a party downstairs and you need your best friend down there to make sure you don’t make more of a fool of yourself than you usually do?”

“Oh, Hermione, you have me pegged. Now get dressed so I can get drunk!” she rolled her eyes at me and grabbed out a pair of dark denim skinny jeans, an oversized off the shoulder t shirt and a pair of black stilettos. I had the feeling that if I wasn’t there watching her pick out her clothes and if she was already dressed and at the party she would have been wearing normal denim jeans, a normal scoop neck top and a pair of sneakers. When she was ready I grabbed her arm and pulled her as fast as I could towards the stairs, we entered the party and we spotted a sober Harry Potter and a tipsy Ron Weasley standing in the corner talking to some girls. I looked at Hermione who was fuming at Ron’s behaviour even though she didn’t show it on her face. I ran down the stairs stepping two steps at a time until I jumped into the arms of a luckily still sober Harry.

“Whoa, easy there, I may be still sober but even I can’t handle a surprise attack from Haven Snape,” I laughed as he handed me a glass and topped it off with fire whiskey. Just then a really awesome song came on over the sound system and something clicked in me and I wanted to dance

“Harry, come one let’s dance!” I grabbed his wrist and dragged him into the swirl of drunken dancers in the middle of the Gryffindor common room.

“How on earth did you manage to get Hermione out of her room and into those shoes?”

“I guess something pays from being a girl” he laughed and we danced stupidly not caring who watched. Three songs and two and a half glasses of fire whiskey later Harry stopped dancing and opted to sit in an arm chair much to my dismay, I still felt like dancing and I was out of a dance partner. After glaring at my best friend one last time, I turned around apparently too fast for my body’s liking and I stumbled into the arms of one Draco Malfoy. He looked down at me and chuckled when he said

“Had one too many glasses to drink I see,”

“Well, Malfoy, you obviously haven’t seen me at a party before tonight then. I haven’t even reached my maximum limit yet, I’m not even half way, if you had paid any attention to me other than tonight maybe you would have noticed that I am naturally clumsy,” I scoffed

“Want a refill then Haven?” like that question needed an answer, of course I did! He topped up my drink and then we started dancing, I don’t know why it was probably the alcohol but after a few songs I whispered into his ear

“Are you sure this isn’t just something to get into my pants?”

“I’m sure; you know you’re nothing like your father. The intimidating part aside, you’re actually nice,”

“Thanks, I need to sit down though, too much dancing,” I grabbed his wrist and led him to an arm chair in the far corner of the room. He sat down and pulled me onto his lap and we just sat there talking about random things until I felt his lips come crashing down on mine. He pulled away almost as quickly as it happened, leaving me a bit confused but out of a drunken curiosity I grabbed him by the collar and pulled his lips down to mine. It was wonderful, the most fantastic feeling in the world, partly because I was making out with the guy I had liked for four years, but all that aside, Draco Malfoy was one sensational snogger. I don’t know how long we sat there in that chair making out but I broke it off when I heard someone clear their throat I looked up to see Hermione standing the looking at me with her shoes in hand

“Haven, you look pretty drunk and I don’t want you going back to the Slytherin dungeons with Malfoy and doing something you’ll regret, Lavender is off with some Ravenclaw and she said you could crash in her bed for the night,”

“Thanks ‘Mione, I wouldn’t know what to do without you,” I stood up off of Malfoy’s lap, almost falling over in the process.

Chapter 3: Harry, Hermione and Hangovers
[View Online]  [Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

That night I tossed and turned so many times I lost count. I had nightmares that chilled me to the bone.
I was sitting at the park near the house, all alone. I was about five at the time; there was no breeze, no anything. Then all of a sudden he came. He who must not be named. Lord Voldemort. He smirked at me and sat down on the swing next to me, his red eyes glistening with amusement. I felt my eyes change colour in fear, he obviously noticed
“Haven, there is no need to fear me,” I nodded and mustered an
“Okay,” he smirked sickly before he said
“You’re very pretty. You look so much like your mother. I enjoyed killing her. As I will you, but don’t fear me, Haven, not yet, I won’t kill you yet,” he cackled before he walked to the edge of the park with a swish of his wand he laughed before disappearing. I felt wetness on my stomach so I pressed my hand to my clothes for a couple of seconds and pulled them away to see blood. I was bleeding profusely from my stomach.

I woke up screaming. I didn’t feel safe. Thank Merlin everyone in Hermione’s room were heavy sleepers or I would have been in a crap load of trouble. I crawled out of bed and walked as quietly as I could downstairs and towards the boy’s dorms when I found Harry and Ron’s room I opened the door silently and found Harry’s sleeping body
“Harry” I poked him, he stirred but didn’t wake up

“Harry” I pulled the pillow out from under his head he jolted right up and reached to his bedside table for his glasses he put them on and turned to me

“Huh? Haven? Nightmare?”

“Uh-huh,” I said with tears in my eyes he pulled up his blanket and I slid in next to him, he snaked his arms around my wait and said

“Haven, it’s gonna be okay, everything’s alright now. He will never hurt you I promise,” and with that I dozed off into sleep knowing I was safe.

I woke up with Harry’s arm still encircled around my waist. I would have snuggled back down and fell asleep again but I felt horrible and I bolted to the bathroom, lent over the toilet and vomited. I heard the door open and felt someone pull my hair away from my face
“I knew you shouldn’t of drank that much,” Harry chuckled. He kept talking to me while I vomited. Once I had finished he walked me back to the common room, luckily it was early in the morning and a Saturday. The first day of school landed on a Friday this year. I was wearing one of Harry’s tops with my tights from last night. I muttered the password and walked inside the portrait into the common room. I thanked Harry and waited for him to leave before hurrying to my dorm. When I reached my room I saw Pansy Parkinson sitting on Daphne Greengrasses bed. When I entered the room Pansy turned to glare at me
“Hello Snape, what are you doing here?” she snarled

“Well Parkinson, it is my room,” I snarled back. Thank Merlin, that shut her up. I jumped in the shower and tried to wash the hangover away. I got dressed, dried my hair and did my makeup. I grabbed my bag and walked out of the room giving Pansy a glare before leaving for Hermione’s dorm so we could leave for Hogsmede.
I walked to the portrait hole of the Gryffindor tower and said the password. Once I was in the common room I saw harry and Ron sitting on the couch together waiting for Hermione to come downstairs
“Hey guys,” I said plonking down next to them

“Hey Haven, how did you like the party, I was planned by yours truly!” Ron said with smug satisfaction

“I loved it; it was a great pick me up,”

“What did your roommates say this morning when you didn’t come back last night?” Harry said absent mindedly

“Probably just assumed she was off with the ferret or something,” Ron said with a disgusted look on his face

“Why would they think that?” I asked questionably

“Well, hate to break it to you Haven, but you were having a snogging session with him on that arm chair over there,” he pointed to a leather chair in the corner of the room

“I WHAT?!” I yelled

“no way, there is no way in hell would I ever make out with DRACO MALFOY!’

“Sorry to have to break it to you Haven, but you kind of did,” Harry said

“Oh no. My father’s gonna kill me,” I thought about it, the nights events came flooding back. As far as I could tell though we didn’t sleep together. Hermione came downstairs and said
“Ready to go? Haven by the way you might want to stop yelling, I could hear you from upstairs,” and with that we went out of the common room and departed for Hogsmede. We were halfway there when I turned to Hermione to say
“Did I really snog Draco?”

“Sorry, Haven but you did, luckily I broke it off before anything serious could happen,”

“Thank you so much Hermione, you saved me,”

“I guess so, but haven tell me something,’

“Anything, you’re my best friend,”

“Do you like him? I mean you both seemed to be enjoying it but that may have just been due to an alcoholic stupor,”

“First off, remember what we decided ‘Mione, when I am hung over use small words. Secondly, I’m not sure if I like him, I mean sure he’s attractive and smart and…” I trailed off earing a look from Hermione
“Oh who am I kidding? I am absolutely in love with Draco Malfoy!” I said

“I knew it! I knew it!” by this time we were in the centre of Hogsmede. I needed to stock up on sugar quills so we decided to head to Honeydukes and then to The Three Broomsticks for a Butterbeer. We were walking into the shop when I saw his platinum blonde hair sticking out from the top of the crowd, Draco Malfoy was in Honeydukes and he was coming this way…

Chapter 4: Hogsmeade, Butterbeer and Alleyways
[View Online]  [Printer Friendly Version of This Chapter]

I ran behind the nearest person, who just so happened to be Millicent Bullstrode. She worked as a perfect cover until Draco came over to talk to Blaise, who just so happened to be standing near her. I stealthily snuck away to re-join Harry, Hermione and Ron. I grabbed Ron and Hermione by the arms and pulled them out of the shop while saying

“We’ll get the sugar quills last okay? I need quidditch gear,”

“Haven, you don’t even play quidditch;” Ron said matter of factly

“Doesn’t mean this year I can’t start.” Once we were out of the shop we headed to Quality Quidditch Supplies and I got the boys to show me what I would need. I brought what I could out of the money in my pocket, I decided I would get the rest once I got some money from Gringotts I really doubted the fact that I would be able to play quidditch, I mean I know the rules and all but something about flying a broom sixty feet in the air kind of freaked me out. We we’re halfway back to Quality Quidditch Supplies when I turned to harry and said

“Harry, I know the rules for quidditch and all but, something about being so high in the air scares me, will you be able to train me before tryouts

“Haven, of course I will, do you want to head down to the pitch after we finish here? What position did you have in mind?”

“I have my heart set on seeker but I know that it won’t be possible to steal that away from Draco and out team has some kick ass keepers so I was thinking of going out for chaser any yes I would love to go out to the pitch after this,”

“I think you could steal seeker away from Draco but if chasers if what you want then that’s what I’m gonna train you for,”

“Thank you Harry! You’re the best friend anyone could wish for!”

“You better believe it!” he brought me into a hug and we continued on toward the shop walking faster than our normal pace to keep up with Ron and Hermione. We got back to the quidditch shop and I brought everything I needed. Being the best friends that they were Harry and Ron both split the cost of what a Nimbus 2001 and brought it for me, against my protests. After we filed out of the shop we made our way towards The Three Broomsticks for a Butterbeer. We stepped into the shop and my nostrils felt with the smell of alcohol and food, Ron led us to a table near the middle of the inn but still slightly to the left, it was the same table that we sat at every time we came here. One of the chairs cushions had a small ink splotch on it from when my quill dropped ink off the end of it. This place was magic; it was the home to so many wonderful memories

“Hey guys, I’m going to get a Butterbeer anyone else want one?” I said absent mindedly

“I’ll have one please,” Harry said

“Me too!” Hermione and Ron chimed in at the same time

“So, four Butterbeers, two with a sprig of ginger,” I said to myself. Hermione and I were the only ones that took our Butterbeers with ginger, I normally only took mine with a sprig but it was the morning after a party, I had a hangover and ever since 2nd year Butterbeers with ginger had been my go to hangover drink. Every year since when the hangovers got worse I added more ginger and it seemed to sooth everything. Tom the bartender shot a look my way and smiled

“I heard there was a party last night Haven? Butterbeer with ginger?”

“Yes please Tom, lots and lots of ginger!” he busily turned around and pulled out a glass so big that if it was filled it would probably get a house elf drunk. He then turned to me again and said

“Do the rest of the clan want one to?”

“Yes please, Hermione’s the only one that takes hers with ginger though, please don’t put as much as mine. She’ll kill me!” he turned around again and finished getting everything for the order. He had all the drinks on the table when he said

“Hold on a second Haven,” he lent down and searched the shelves underneath the bar. When he stood up again he put a box containing a peppermint toad on the bar next to the drinks. Tom was good like that, I was his favourite customer and he knew my hangover order and because he is a strong believer in the fact that peppermint will one way or another take away a hangover he always throws in a peppermint toad on the house.

“Thanks Tom, you’re a life saver,”

“That’s what I’m here for,” he smirked at me. I returned to the table and sat down; everyone took their drinks Ron looked at me with a confused look

“What the hell is with the size of that cup? Hey I didn’t know you could get peppermint toads here!” I normally either came here with Hermione, Harry or by myself. This was the first time that Ron had ever seen the size of my hangover drink

“This is my standard size for when I’m hung over. Do you want a taste? The amount of ginger in this is ridiculous! Oh and you can’t by peppermint toads here, Tom throws one in whenever I order my hangover drink. He doesn’t give them to anyone else,”

“That’s not fair,” Ron said and started sulking. It took a while but us a while, especially me but when we finished we got up, I said goodbye to Tom and we headed towards Honeydukes. I hadn’t had a sugar fill in days and I was itching for some sugar quills, they were my addiction by far. We were halfway to the shop when I saw the familiar blonde hair peeking out of the top of the crowd. When I realized there was nowhere else to go or escape to I looked down at the ground and hoped to Merlin that he didn’t notice me. The next thing I knew I was getting pulled by my wrist to the little alleyway in between the two buildings that were next to Honeydukes. I looked up to see Draco’s gorgeous grey eyes looking down on me. The next thing I knew I felt his lips come crashing down on mine, it was pure bliss. It felt a lot better than what it did when I was drunk, I responded before I could work out why. This was Draco Malfoy, the guy that had no idea that I existed until yesterday. This was ridiculous. He was Draco freaking Malfoy! I shouldn’t be doing this; he was a Slytherin sure but.... but... I honestly can’t think of a but for that. It’s Draco Malfoy. The Slytherin Sex God. I had a right to this besides he kissed me. I pulled away and asked

“Draco? Why are you kissing me?”

“Because I like you, you are the type of person that I want to spend time with. You’re not like the other girls,”

“What other girls? Parkinson? Greengrass?”

“Yes those other girls,”

“Well I’m glad, I hate their guts,” he laughed and then kissed me again. Once again it was me that pulled away

“I better get going; the golden trio would kill me if they found me here with you,”

“Can’t you just ditch them?”

“Nope, they’re in Honeydukes and I need to get sugar quills, chocolate cauldrons and cockroach clusters,”

“I take it that the only reason you eat chocolate cauldron’s are because they’re filled with fire whiskey,”

“Don’t judge me!” he laughed as I wriggled out of his grasp and walked out of the alley. When I walked into Honeydukes I saw Hermione standing in front of the chocolate frogs. I walked up to her and she turned around to look at me

“Where have you been?”

“Oh I just saw something in a shop and I wanted to see how much it costed,”

“Don’t you dare lie to me Haven! Your hair is ruffled and your lips are swollen,”

“Fine just don’t tell the guys, promise?”

“Promise”

“I just had a quick snogging session with Draco in the little alley between the two shops down the road,”

“Really?”

“Yes, please don’t tell the guys,”

“I won’t,” we headed towards were the sugar quills were, if they ran out of chocolate cauldrons and cockroach clusters I didn’t really care but if they ran out of sugar quills shit will go down. I grabbed about twenty sugar quills, that should hold me until next weekend. I went to the chocolate cauldrons and grabbed 5 of them. I usually kept chocolate cauldrons in a charmed box under my bed for when I had a fire whiskey craving and there weren’t any parties. Next I went towards the cockroach clusters, many people thought they were disgusting but it was something about their crunchy shell and jelly underbelly that made me love them so much.

“Cockroach clusters? Seriously Haven, that’s disgusting,”

“What’s wrong with them? I find them addictive,”

“How can you eat them?”

“Like I said, they’re delicious and you should know by now that I can eat just about any lolly you through at me,” she rolled her eyes and we brought my sweets. When we went out of the shop we met the boys, who laughed at the amount of sweets I was cradling in my arms. I caught sight of Draco in the corner of my eye who was smirking in my direction; I turned to him and rolled my eyes. He just laughed. Harry shot me a quizzical look

“What are you talking to git Malfoy?”

“Maybe I am, I need to make friends in my own house. I love you guys and all but I need some Slytherin friends,”

“You mean friends that are as evil as you,”

“Of course that’s what I mean,” I laughed. He rolled his eyes at me, we started walking back towards Hogwarts when Ron said

“Hey Haven, can I pretty please have a cockroach cluster?”

“Come on Ron didn’t you buy your own sweets?”

“Well I did but I ate them,” he looked down at the ground bashfully

“Fine, only because your one of my best friends,” I chucked a cockroach cluster at him and a grin lit up his face. You knew that you were special when I gave you one of my lollies, I never gave them to anyone, and I treasured sugar too much. We reached the castle, it seemed like there were only a few people back at school. We were heading in the direction of the Gryffindor common room when I said

“Hey guys, I’m gonna go back to my dorm,”

“That’s up here,” Hermione said

“No Hermione, not the one enchanted into the side of your closet, I need to go put my lollies away in my actual dorm room,” Hermione sighed

“Fine, see you at dinner then?”

“Of course!” I gave her a hug; I went to go away when I heard the boys simultaneously say

“Hey! What about me?” I rolled my eyes and gave them both a hug before flipping my hair over my shoulder and sauntering off the Slytherin dorms. I said the password, entered the portrait hole and went up to my dorm. When I entered my dorm the first thing I did was hide my sugar quills and cockroach clusters in the charmed compartment of my black dragon skin one shoulder bag. Then I put my chocolate cauldrons in my charmed box under my bed, I opened it to find that I surprisingly had a dozen or so left, I put my lollies in the box and decided to get changed from my jeans, long sleave top and jumper to a pair of sweatpants and a tank top. I put my curly hair into a ballerina bun on the top of my head but as I went to walk out of my dorm I decided against it and took the hair pins out. I grabbed my History of Magic text book and walked downstairs. I plonked myself on the leather couch in front of the fireplace; I opened my book and started studying. About half an hour had passed when I felt a pair of arms snake around my shoulders. I freaked out a little then I felt lips kissing the edge of my jaw line and I knew who it was

“Draco! I’m trying to study!” I giggled and he groaned

“Why? Your Snape’s daughter, I’m pretty sure you could pass a history of magic class,”

“Well you never know,” he sat on the couch next to me, I got lost in my text book again. I can’t say that I particularly like History of Magic and because of that I’m not getting particularly good grades. Draco took the textbook from my hands, shut it and put it on the table next to the couch.

“Hey! I was reading that!” he started kissing me and I melted, it felt like nothing mattered anymore. I deepened the kiss and I tangled his hands in my hair I pulled him closer to me. With the strength that I had from muggle gymnastics I was able to flip the position so I was straddling him. He lent up and kissed me, I don’t know how long we were there like that but the next thing I heard was the familiar shriek of Pansy Parkinson.

“HAVEN! What are you doing?!” I pulled away from Draco and smirked in her direction

“Well, as far as I’m concerned I was studying,”

“Well it looks to me like you kissing my FREAKING BOYFRIEND!” I looked at Draco with a questioning look and he smirked at me. I gave him a look of disgust before climbing off of him, grabbing my textbook, leaving the common room and heading in the direction of the Gryffindor common room.
