It has been exactly one year since the day Hermione's fiance died in a muggle car crash. This is their story before Hermione's fiance died.
It had been exactly one year ago since that horrible night that Hermione dreaded. We were going to get married and create a family together. We were going to walk into our future together. Remeber our promises Draco? She regreted how she couldn't treat Draco the way he really deserved to be in their Hogwarts years. Then she remembered the night that Draco had proposed to her. Draco had taken Hermione to a very nice and sophisticated place for dinner. They had a wonderful time together. They chattered about all the good times they have been through, and giggled about all the childish things they've done in the past. After their perfect evening, Draco took Herimone home and decided to spend the night. They had a great time. It was like a childhood sleepover.
Hermione snapped back from her thoughts when she remebered that Ginny, Harry, and Ron were coming over to pick her up to go to Draco's grave. Hermione got up and walked to her bathroom to take a shower, hoping that she would feel better after. As she took off her clothes and stepped in to the shower, she remembered the moment that she shared with Draco in the shower.
Flashback****
"Ok fine Draco, I'll go in first." Hermione said as she removed every single item of clothing that framed her body. Then, Draco took his clothes off, not being able to take his eyes off of Hermione.
"Here I come!!" Draco said foolishly as he jumped in to the shower where Hermione stood naked showing her petite body. Then, Draco took the shower head from Hermione's hands as he sprayed water all over Hermone's face.
"Draco Malfoy!" Hermione shrieked, "I'm going to kill you!!"
"Well then catch me if you can! because I'm a Malfoy!" Draco screamed in Hermione's face. But being in a shower, he couldn't run away like the gingerbreadman. Hermione caught his muscular arms and he turned around to see Hermione smiling. They were happy at that moment. The room was filled with warmth and love and you could hear the whispers of joy.
"You're acting like a child Draco," Hermione said through her joyful giggles. Then realizing how childish he had been, he joined in the laughter.
"I love you Hermione, you are everything to me." Draco whispered in to her ear.
"And you are everything to me, Draco. I love you too." Hermione said as he leaned down to kiss her. Draco smashed Hermione against the wall and felt her body. Draco's fingers were caught in her hair as Hermione rested her hands on Draco's chest. There they were just holding each other, letting the warm water fall like rain drops on them.
End of flashback****
Hermione got out of the shower and got dressed. She decided to wear the dress that Draco had always loved. It was a flowy white strappless dress that came up to her knees. Then she put a bit of makeup on and peered inside her jewery box. She decided on the engagement ring that Draco had gotten for her and a earings with tiny emeralds and rubies studded in it.
Then Hermione heard the door bell ring. She walked to her door opening it to see Harry, Ginny and Ron. She was happy to see them.
"Are you ready?" Harry asked Hermione.
"I'm always ready," Hermione said. Soon, they were all in Ron's muggle car driving to the cemetary where Draco was buried. Ron, Harry and Ginny were all smiling and talking but Hermione had something else on her mind.
Flashback****
"What happened?" Hermione questioned Harry, Ron and Ginny as soon as she arrived at the hospital. Hermione could see that something had gone terribly wrong by the looks up their faces. Infact, their looks were so dark that she was afraid to ask what was going on.
"Hermione, it's Draco..." Ginny said finally, breaking the loud silence. And with those three words, Hermione's heart sank.
"What about Draco..?" Hermione managed to say, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Hermione, he got in a car crash and he's in surgery right now." Harry whispered feeling guilty.
"And he is going to be perfectly fine Hermione," Ron added. Hermione clasped on to the floor crying. Ron rushed over to her and took her to a bench. Hermione then cried herself to sleep, her head rested on Ron's lap as they waited for the surgery to be over. After 3 hours, Ron woke Hermione up as he saw the doctor coming out the doors.
"Ms. Hermione Granger?" The doctor asked.
"Yes, that would be me" Hermione barely answered, but she knew she had to be strong for Draco.
"Please follow me, Ms. Granger." The doctor said as he gestured to get up and follow him.
"Is Draco going to be okay?" Hermione asked hopefully, trying not to lose any hope.
"I am not sure Ms. Granger. It depends on how Mr. Malfoy will react to the surgery." The doctor said. "But for now, yes, he is okay. And he wishes to see you." He added, trying to lighten the mood. Hermione just nodded to his answer as she entered the room that Draco was in.
"Hermione, it's going to be alright, don't cry." Draco whispered as Hermone rested her head next to Draco's. Despite his plea, Hermione continued to cry. Then he whispered once more, closing his eyes.
"Please Hermione, don't cry, for me. And don't ever forget that I love you..."
End of flashback****
"Alright, here we are." Ron said as he parked the car. Harry and Ron just turned around and smiled at Hermione. Then Hermione smiled at her two oldest and best friends, being grateful that she had someone to lean on at hard times like this. Ron got out of the car, and opened the car door for Hermione to get out. As Hermione got out they all walked to Draco's grave.
Hermione kneeled down next to Draco's grave, and pulled out her wand and murmered, Orchideaous. Then Hermione touched the flowers, then her engaement ring. They have been throught so much together, that it hurt Hermione like hell.
"Draco, you promised me remember.......?" Hermione whispered through her sobs. Now she was left alone, with no one to love like she loved Draco. She felt so lonely.
"Draco, I didn't forget that you loved me. And I'll never be able to forget...."
