James' pov.
Beep beep beeeeeep rang my alarm clock and I rolled out of bed and landed on the floor with a thump.
It was Saturday which means try outs (Well why else would I get up early on a Saturday?)
I quickly ran downstairs and showered and dressed in my Quidditch robes where I saw Ally ready to go.
'Lets roll Alls' I said winking as she rolled her eyes.
Walking out of the Dorms in to the Gryffindor common room where Freddy and Dom where waiting in last years robes.
'Let's roll ma cousins and Ally' I laughed in an unusually good mood for this time in the morning.
'Shut it' Ally said yawning in her normal early morning bad mood as we slowly walked down the stairs not seeing anyone else apart from fellow Gryffindors who where going to try outs.
'So who have you got your eye for the team on Captain?' Said Freddy buttering his toast.
'I think Tom Kurt's going out for Keeper and I hear he's pretty talented' I said stuffing a sausage in my mouth turning my head to find Ally had fallen back asleep on the table.
'Alls eat something before you fall asleep again' I said shaking her awake.
'OK' She said opening her eyes up half way but not bothering to morph her hair back, helping her self to a Bacon Butty.
'So how's you and Frankie then after everything the other day?' I asked Dom.
'Better than ever' She grinned.
'Aww I can see little Foms in your future' Said Freddy pinching Dom's cheek.
'Foms?'
'Frankie and Doms' Laughed Freddy.
'Lets get down to the field' I said eyeing Ally who was drifting to sleep again, pulling her up from the table and marching her down to the pitch.
'OK' I shouted to the crowd of about forty people where waiting down at the pitch to try out 'Firstly' I yelled noticing some of the crowd where not even Gryffindors 'If you're not a Gryffie and are just here to marvel at my sexiness please leave now' I said making ten or so people walk off.
'OK first will be the try outs for Seeker' I said and two second years and Ally stepped forward 'OK first do a lap around the field' I said and Ally took to the sky and finished her lap quick as a rocket while the other two where only hovering off the ground 'OK sorry guys but Ally you're on the Team' I said as she landed next to me 'And I now introduce you to my co-captain – Alice Longbottom'
'Ally' She said rolling her eyes and morphing her hair back to her blonde ringlets to show she was finally fully awake.
'Beaters next' I said and Dom and Freddy stepped forward looking threatening so no one else stepped forward.
'Guess that means Dom and Freddy are back on the team' I said rolling my eyes.
'Now as for the two chaser spots' I said and ten or so people stepped forward including Lils and her mate Fionnla.
'Lis' I hissed 'what are you doing I thought Ally was just taking the piss!'
'We're trying out' Said Lily calmly.
'Oh no you're not' I said and Lily glared at me looking spookily like Mum.
'Yeah. I am.' She said taking off on her comet and doing graceful laps of the field Fionnla folloing her closely the rest of the potentials following their lead and doing laps.
'Let her try out at least' Said Ally.
'Fine' I huffed watching Lily fly about and frigging hell she looked like Mum and it was scary/

An hour of so later I had a full team which included Lils and Fionnla much to my dismay.
'Team practices are Wednesday evenings from 6pm and Satudarys from 4am to 7am' I shouted to my team.
'4am to 7am?' Ally spluttered.
'Yep'
'What on Earth?' Lily demanded.
'That will be when we practice secret movers' I said
'Urg fine' Said Alls rolling her eyes.
'So you Wednesday then' I said walking off the field Alls, Dom and Freddy following me.
'You're crazy.' Ally said 'Like mental you know we have patrols Friday nights till eleven'
'You can have coffee' I said rolling my eyes.
'Oh thanks.' She said sarcastically 'We have Hogsmeade visits and that dance to plan tonight by the way' She said sauntering off towards the Greenhouses.
'God that girl annoys me!' I said to Dom and Freddy.
'You annoy us' Said Dom laughing 'Frankie!' She exclaimed seeing him Vicky walking out of the Great Hall most likely talking about muggle stuff.
'Hey!' Said Frankie walking up to her and kissing her on the cheek 'your sister was just telling me all about aeroplanes!'
'That's...um great?' Said Dom smiling.
'Well I'll see you guys later' Said Vic smiling and walking off.
'Come on lets go some where' Dom said to Frankie dragging him off.
'And then there was two' Said Freddy laughing.
'Prank?' I asked grinning.
'But of course' He grinned back.

'What have you two done?' Ally said sitting down at the Gryffindor table and seeing our smirking faces.
'Nothing dear Ally' Freddy said
'Hmm' Ally said glaring at us.
'We-eee-eeel' Goyle sung jumping on to of the Slytherin table.
'You know you make me wanna (Shout!)
Kick my heels up and (Shout!)
Throw my hands up and (Shout!) ' He sung and span around teetering on five inch heals.
'Oh. My. Goodness.' Said Ally staring wide eyed at where he was bright red and climbing off the table.
'Yep' I grinned.
'You're stupid and awesome at the same time' She said laughing.
'I'm glad you think so' I said as a messy haired Avery sat down next to Ally.
'Had fun today then Aves?' Laughed Dom.
'Very muchly, I broke up with him about five minutes ago though but then Shawn asked me out so I'm no longer single' She said flirtatiously waving to a Hufflepuff.
'Wow single for a whole five minutes' Said Ally rolling her eyes.
'I was single for two actually' Aves said smoothing down her hair and grinning.
'Um hum' Laughed Ally.
'So Alls guess what I heard' Avery grinned.
'What?'
'Tom Kurt is going to ask you out tomorrow!' Squealed Avery.
'Um...cool?'
'Cool? Ally he's hot! You should totes go for it!'
'Yeah but we're on the same Quidditch team! What if we broke up?'
'Don't break up then' Avery said rolling her eyes.
'Well I don't want to risk it uncase we do'
'Ally! Think about something that isn't plants and Quidditch for once!'
'When other things get that awesome I'll stop thinking about plants and Quidditch that much' Said Ally laughing.
'Go out with Tom!' Avery said not letting the subject die.
'One date!' Said Ally giving in.
'Aves don't make her do something she doesn't want to' I said quickly not wanting to let Tom take my Ally away from me.
'It's cool James one date wont hurt and it'll shut Avery up' Said Ally continuing eating like everything was normal.
'I'm just going to go and work on some strategies' I said getting up from the table.
'Do you want me to help?' Asked Ally.
'No' I said walking out leaving behind a confused Ally.
Ally's pov.
'What's up with James?' I said feeling slightly hurt, James had never acted like that towards me and he was always sharing his haired brained Quidditch plays with us.
'I dunno' Said Freddy stuffing his mouth with food 'but that was odd, we all know how he normally bores us to death with the details of those plans.'
'Well at least it wasn't just me thinking he was acting odd' I said.
'Nah something deffo is up' Said Dom pulling her self away from Frankie's mouth.
'Maybe it's just his time of the month' Laughed Freddy.
'Wouldn't be surprising' Said Frankie.
'No I think I know actually what's wrong and you lot should work it out for yourselves' Said Avery getting up from the table.
'Avery talking cryptic just so she can leave the table. That's a new one' I laughed.
'She sure is getting creative' Laughed Dom.
'I might try that one' I laughed 'I'm leaving. You know why.' I said grinning and climbing up from the table swooping my cloak behind me and running up the length of the great hall getting many odd looks on my way.
James' pov.
Stupid Tom fliching Kurt stealing my fliching Ally.
'James' shouted some one's voice from down the corridor and I hoped it was Ally to tell me I was the sexiest man ever whom she would die to go out with- no such luck, it was Avery.
'Oh hey' I said feeling my heart drop with disappointment.
'I know why you stormed out' She said walking closer to me 'you love Ally' she smirked.
'I do not love Ally' I retorted.
'Yeah you do I can see it in your eyes' She said staring at me.
'Well I don't, so..' I said hoping she would drop it.
'Don't lie James' She said still staring.
'I'm not' I said running a hand through my sexy hair.
'Yes you are' She said.
'I'm not'
'Are'
'Not'
'Are' Aves said glaring.
'Not' I said.
'Not' She said.
'Are' I said stupidly 'no I meant- Urg you tricked me! No fair'
'So you do?' She said raising an eyebrow.
'Well I don't love her I just...I dunno' I shrugged.
'Want in her pants?' Smirked Avery.
'Well more I want her to be mine but that's good too' I laughed.
'Well ask her out then idiot' Avery said, hands on her hips.
'It's not that easy!' I said.
'It is- look just follow my simple steps – 1. ask her out, 2. lose your v-card, 3. Don't be an idiot.'
'I hate you' I said pouting in a manly fashion.
'You love me' She winked 'but not as much as you love Ally' she laughed.
'I hate you' I said again as Avery moonwalked backwards stopping to thrust her pelvis at me every few steps.
'Slut' I yelled jokingly after her.
'Virgin!' She yelled back and I could hear her laughing.
'I am so not asking Ally out' I said to myself continuing walking down the corridor and in to the owlery where I walked over to my owl and took the parcel off it I had ordered.
Ally's pov.

A Smooth Criminal' Freddy sung as we walked back to the common room, ingeniously swapping the name Annie with Ally. (Sarcasm)
'Aaow!' He continued.
Ally Are You OK?-' I hit him making him stop.
'Not cool Ally' he pouted clutching his arm which I had barely touched.
'Man up' I said rolling my eyes and jumping on to his back, making him piggyback me back to the common room.
'Ally!' Lily yelled the second I walked (well was carried).
'An owl's waiting for you look!' She said point to a large owl was perched on the window sill.
'How do you know it's mine?' I asked her.
'Because the letter says “Alice Longbottom” on it' Lily said rolling her eyes.
'Oh' I said walking across the common room to the owl who held out it's leg so I could take the letter not opening it, knowing whom it was from.
'Aren't you going to open it?' Asked Freddy.
'Nope' I said lying down on top of Freddy who was lying down on the couch.
'LILY, ALLY'S TRYING TO RAPE ME!' Freddy yelled laughing.
'You've slept with worse!' She yelled from the other end of the common room where she was sat with Fionnla.
'So how's life, darling Alice?' Freddy asked smirking.
'Life like' I laughed 'so who is your latest hoe this week?'
'Hurricane Mosby'
'What kind of a name is Hurricane? Seriously!' I said.
'She was conceived during one or something' Freddy said.
'Ew because you totally want to think about your parents having sex every time some one says your name' I said pulling a face.
'Pervert' Laughed Freddy 'I knew there was a reason I kept you around'
'You keep me around because I'm perverted? Not because I'm hot?' I winked.
'Not my type Alls' Freddy laughed.
'How will I live?' I gasped pretending to cry just as James stormed in to the common room.
'Hey James' I said.
'Oh so Tom isn't enough for you now you have to have Freddy as well. Real classy.' He said storming in to the head's dorm.
'What the heck was that about?' I said feeling very confused.
'James is jealous of my sexiness' Freddy grinned.
'Ally faster, we're not going to win games with you flying like that!' James shouted rather unfairly. He was in a mood with me, nothing was pleasing him.
'James my broom's making a weird sound!' I shouted doing laps of the field. It was Wednesday night practice and my broom had been amazing, going faster than any one I had ever owned before but now it was making a rather odd noise.
'Four laps for excuses' He shouted flying off to shout at some one else.
'Urg!' I screamed speeding up so the laps would be over quicker my broom making a funny noise as I did landing quickly finishing my laps and storming in to the changing rooms.
'Crazy practice wasn't it?' Said Tom with a towel around his neck.
'Yeah it was' I nodded pulling on my uber warm hoodie with the fur on the inside which was technically James' but I stole it last year.
'Ally would you go to Hogsmeade with me?' He blurted out and I felt myself freeze.
'I don't think it'd work out Tom we're on the same team, I mean what if we broke up?' I asked looking at his crestfallen face.
'One date, it we're not good together it doesn't have to go any further' He begged and I remebered my promise to Avery.
'One date' I nodded trudging back up to the castle where I spotted James and Freddy walking a head.
'Guys wait up!' I shouted running to catch up with them.
James' pov.
'Ally' I said as she caught up to us, pushing all emotion out of my voice.
I had been doing this for two weeks, three days and eight hours not that I was keeping track.
'Heya Alls, sweet flying' Freddy said shooting me a weird look before grabbing Ally around her waist and chucking her over one of his shoulders and running off with her.
'Freddy!' I could hear her shout in the distance.
'Freddy, put her down. I need you be rested for laps tomorrow' I shouted and I could see Ally being place on the ground and marching towards me.
'You know James' She shouted her hair burning red 'you're being a real prat and I don't know why!' she screamed. 'At least give me a reason why you're doing this!'
'Because you...' I started stopping before I told her the real reason.
'Exactly.' She hissed 'you've got no reason' she said storming off.
'James mate I don't know what's happening but she's really upset and I can see any reason for you upsetting her.' Freddy said before running after Ally.
I spun around and kicked the nearest tree. Damn Ally. Damn her! Why was this all happening? I wish I could just go back to the easy days.
Flashback
'Jamsie!' Ally yelled toddling after me. We where both around four years old and summer was upon us. The Longbottoms had been invited around for the day. Frankie was inside with the grown ups but me and Ally where out “exploring” the back yard.
'Wait up!' she panted running after me.
'Hurry up Ally!' I said and she ran as fast as her little legs would carry her.
'Come on' I said grabbing her small chubby hand to pull her along.
'Wait Jamsie! I have idea'
'What?'
'I wanna fly!'
'Mummy locks our broom shed' I said unhappily.
'I can open it!' she said and it was her turn to pull me along, right to in front of the shed.
She whipped a small hair pin out her rainbow coloured hair. It had a small yellow flower on the end to match her yellow sun dress. She stuck the hair pin in to the lock, twisted it a few times and the lock flew open.
'Good work Alls' I said pulling out dad and mum's brooms out the shed. We where gonna be so dead if they found out. I handed her dad's one but she frowned and swapped the brooms so I was now holding dad's and she was holding mum's. She stuck out her tongue at me and climbed on the broom, frowning in concentration.
'Jamsie how do you take off?' she asked as I climbed on to my broom.
'Mummy and daddy kick off like this' I said, kicking my foot against the ground, to my utter delight it soared a couple inches in to the air.
'Wait up Jamsie!' she said, kicking off her broom and shakily rising in to the air. She shaked some more before readjusting the grip on her broom, as she did a brilliant smile appeared on her face.
'Come on' I said leaning forward on my broom, making it fly higher and move forward. Ally mirrored my movements and soon we where both swooping around Ottery St. Catchpole.
'Jamsie this is amazing!' Ally yelled, her rainbow hair whipping about behind her as she flew.
'I know!' I yelled back.
'Jamsie I wanna do trick trick like Uncley Harry!' she said, pointing the nose of her broom towards the ground, swooping down and down. My heart dropped. I was about to lose my best friend.
'ALLY!' I screemed and at that moment mum, dad and the Longbottoms came bursting out the door.
'Alice!' screemed her father, pulling out his wand, but it was too late, she was about to hit the ground. Just at the last second, centermeters away from the ground she pulled up.
I heard dad mutter a swear word and Ally flew back over to me giggling.
'Did you see my trick trick Jamsie?'
'That was scary Ally, don't do that' I pouted.
'James Sirius Potter you better come down from there right now! And you Ally!' mum shouted and we both slowly managed to land.
'That was very naughty of both of you!' she scolded and Ally's mother nodded.
'But that was amazing flying from both of you! You're only four! Amazing, but next time an adult has to be around okay?' mum said and me and Ally grinned at each other and smiled.
'And no more dives like that please Alice' her father said but I saw a proud look on his face.
'Yes daddy' she nodded.
'Now get play nicely while I get the barbecue going' dad said walking over it, the other adults following him.
'Lets play in my room Alls' I said grabbing her chubby hand and pulling her in to the house, pulling her past a sleeping Frankie and Albus. Up the stairs and in to my messy toy filed room.
'I can't believe you didn't like my trick Jamsie!' Ally said jumping on to my bed.
'I didn't want you to die! I heard my daddy tell your daddy that we should get married one day and I don't want to marry a dead body!' I said pouting yet again and folding my arms in a sulking manner.
'You can't marry dead bodies Jamsie that's gross! But look I'm allllive!' she said jumping off my bed and hugging me 'I want a wedding with a big cake!'
'We'll have a hundred big cakes!'
'No! No! A billion trillion!'
'Okay! Billion trillion big cakes!' I laughed.
'We should tell our mummies' Ally said and I nodded and we both ran back down the stairs and in to the garden where we could smell the barbecue cooking away.
'Mummy, Gin-Gin!' Ally yelled toddling towards our parents.
'Yes darling?' Ally's mum asked her.
'Me and Ally are going to get married and have a billion trillion cakes!' I shouted running and catching up with her.
'Oh are you?' Ally's mum laughed and my one laughed too, as did our dads.
'Yep' Ally said nodding in a serious manner.
'James did you give Ally a nice ring like a proper gentleman?' Dad asked, raising one of his eyebrows in an amused manner.
'No, I forgot' I said looking at my shoes and blushing in shame.
'There's a ring from a christmas cracker in one of the draws in the kitchen' mum said smiling. I nodded and ran inside to get it. I found it in the top draw, it was a very small children's ring made out of copper with a large copper heart in the middle of it. I grabbed it and ran back outside.
'Got it!' I shouted running back over to our parents and Ally.
'Give it to me son' dad said and I reluctantly handed it to him. When he gave it back I noticed on the heart it now said “Jamsie loves Alls” I blushed and handed it to Ally who put it on her chubby finger and kissed me on the cheek.
Flashback over
And that's why Ally is mine and no one else’s. Freddy also “proposed” to her a month later but I hit him and got sent to my room for it. And now Ally has a date with Kurt and I'm pretty sure somethings going on with her and Freddy. Well damn them all. I don't need her.
That was a lie.
I need Ally more than I need oxygen and I like breathing.
