"So mate what do you think I should say in this summary? It'll be hard to fit all of this sexy in this little box. " "Blaise, this story does not revolve around you,  it's all about Hermione and I, our struggle in love, you're practically irrelevant. " Huh Drakie, how could you say such a thing, this fanfic would have been perfect if the author had replaced me with you,  but oh well, Granger doesn't know what she's missing out. " " By the looks of it, not much Zabini." " Not you too Granger."

Chapter 1: The start

[Hermione’s POV]

Have you ever had the feeling that you are being watched? Not by someone somewhere, but by something. Well, I Hermione Jean Granger do.

“Hermione it’s time to get on the train.” As Ron called behind me, I was forced to abandon my thoughts. Harry, Ginny, Neville, Luna, Lavender, Parvati, Padma, and Seamus had already boarded the train and everyone had said their hellos. I followed Ron back in and sat down waiting for the school year to start.

“Hey Mi,” Ginny called as she cuddled next to Harry. Ron looked like he was about to be sick, so he moved the conversation along.

“Mi did you have a nice summer?” Ron asked as he tried to get away from the awkwardness of his best friend and his sister being together. Apparently, Ron had gotten used to the situation, but he would have to look the other way or get his mind off of it.

“It was okay; I spent the summer hanging out with the family and went this muggle place called the beach. You guys should come with me sometime; you’ll like it a lot.”

“We will take your word for it, and go next summer okay.” Harry answered. He was the one to always look after me. He is and always will be my best friend.

“Do you know who the head boy and girl are?” I blushed at the thought of the question.

“Well… I’m head girl.” I answered shyly.

“Bloody hell Mi, why didn’t you tell us!” Ron screamed.

“You guys never asked.”

“Congratulations!” everyone yelled.

“So do you know who the head boy is?” Ginny asked with a nudge. I knew exactly what she was thinking.

“Not yet, but I should be getting to the head’s compartment soon.”

“Ya, you wouldn’t want to keep him waiting.” Ginny answered playfully.

I tried to hide the soft pink that was slowly creeping up on my cheeks, but it was too late everyone was laughing. Just as I got up to leave this first year came in with a note which had Dear Ms.Granger written on top of it.

I opened it and it read:

Ms.Granger please report to the Head’s Compartment immediately, the head boy will be waiting with some important information.

                                                            Sincerely Professor McGonagall

“I guess that’s my sign, see you later guys.” I said while standing up ready to depart.

As I walked over to the compartment, this rush of excitement came over me. Then, my mouth dropped, which felt like 20 floors, as I saw the sight in front of me. It was Draco Malfoy sitting inside, looking out the window. All I could think of was what is he doing here? I barged in which brought him back to reality.

“Malfoy what are you doing here?” I asked with my brows furrowed. But to my surprise he didn’t react like the “normal” Malfoy would. He just sat there and smiled.

“Granger, I was waiting for you.” Waiting for me…when the heck did Malfoy ever wait for me? I couldn’t get enough air to speak; I was too busy sorting out the situation in my head.

“McGonagall wanted me to tell you that Dumbledore is waiting in his office to give us a message.”

“Uhm...okay.” That was all I could choke out of me.

So I sat down quietly and tried to think of a reasonable explanation for Malfoy’s behavior. It had been 10 minutes and I came up with two solutions. Either he was hexed the snot out of, or was being brainwashed. For Malfoy, both explanations were totally reasonable. When I looked up again, he was smiling again! I am dreaming because in the past 10 minutes Draco Malfoy has smiled at me twice! What the hell was the world coming to! The rest of the train ride there was the same…creepy.

[Draco’s POV]

“Malfoy get up” my mum called from the living room.

“Mother I’m ready, so don’t bug me.” I love my mum, but she can be a bother at times.

“Why is it that I don’t have to worry about you; my son is so grownup”

“Mum, stop it.”

“Come down for breakfast.”

I walked down the stairs of Malfoy Manor and proceeded to the dining table. It was set in an elegant manor with a velvety feel to it. I hurried and finished whatever was on my plate, not bothering to look at what I was eating. I rushed upstairs and closed my bags. I told our house elf Mimmy to take the bags down. This year, I was actually looking forward to that pathetic place. One, Voldie wasn’t going to be back any time soon. Two, Lucious won’t be intruding in my life anymore and pressuring me to do things against my will. I nearly spat his name. And three, I made head boy this year, so I will be getting my own room. The Slytherin’s room wasn’t bad and all, but I did need a little sunshine.

As I got on the train, my mind was running through the possibilities for head girl. I do have to share a common room with her, and if I have to see her every day, she better be worth looking at. That’s when I spotted Blaise Zabini, Pansy Parkinson, and Thomas Nott. They were the only people good enough to hang out with me, except for Pansy, she just showed up anywhere I was. If you make one stupid mistake of going third base with her, she just won’t leave you alone. But hey, you can’t be a Malfoy without having one groupie around. We three were the most attractive boys in all of Hogwarts, though I am the best looking, and just a plus we come from rich families; so we practically get any girl we want.

“Hey Blaise, Nott.” Even though Thomas and I are kind of close we still use each other’s last names.

“Sup Draco”

“Hey Drakie” Pansy squeaked.

“Guys ready to go.”  Blaise asked

“Oh wait, I can’t because I made head boy this year.”

“Nice..who’s the head girl?” Nott asked while striking up an eyebrow.

“Ya, is she hot?” Blaise had that smirk on his face.

“I don’t know”

“Well Drakie, she can’t be prettier than me.” Pansy rudely interrupted. Though, like always she was ignored.

“See ya.”

I walked to the head compartment and on my way I saw Potter and his stupid gang. I have always questioned why “these” people where even allowed near the school, matter of factly in. Dumbledork had some weird favorites; at least Snape was there to get rid of some of the misery. He would take away house points from Gryffindor for trivial reasons. It was good to know, not everyone was blindly in love with the Golden Trio. That was when I saw the filthy mudblood sitting there with a disgusting thing you call a smile on her face. Out of all the people here, Granger would be the one I hate the most. Everything about her angers me. Sure she is a stupid know-it-all-bookworm, but why is she so bloody proud of it. That arrogant attitude of hers makes my blood boil. Someone has to teach her a lesson, so why not me. When I walked over I saw that stupid Weasel lover drooling all over her. His face made me sick, which made me decide to insult her some other time. Why not I have all year, and with that I left.

After sitting down, I waited for the head girl to arrive, but instead I saw the cat-lady McGonagall. Oh great, now what does she want?

“Mr.Malfoy congratulation on making head boy this year, I hope you and the head girl will set a wonderful example for the first years.”

 “Yes, thank you.” I mumbled.

“Oh Mr.Malfoy I heard you were thinking of joining Quidditch this year.”

“Oh uhm.. yes Professor.” How the hell did she know?

“Your mother had informed me you where interested.”

“Oh I see.”  I’m going to kill her when I get the chance. She interrupted my thoughts by dragging on her story.

“The head girl will be… Ms.Granger, so I will wish you two will get along.”

“What.” I bellowed. Does she like to give me heart attacks! Why…Granger. If it was someone else I could have at least pretended to like her, but she is the one person I’m not even sure I can act to like her. I was in a terrible shock, what was I to do?

“If Mr.Malfoy you refuse to act civil, I will be forced to take your head boy position away.”

Great, what should I do? I don’t want go back to the Slytherin common room and best I could do is ignore her.

“I will be leaving know, and tell Ms.Granger you and her have to report to Dumbledore’s office for some important information.” I nodded and mumbled okay, with that she left.

Just then an idea hatched in my head. Maybe I can still have some fun with her. I looked out the window planning everything out in my head. Someone opened the door, and I had a good idea who it was. She walked in and immediately started to ask questions. “Malfoy what are you doing here.” I didn’t react and decided to play with her mind a little.

“Granger, I was waiting for you.” She gave me the look that I was waiting for. I continued having way to much fun.

“McGonagall wanted me to tell you Dumbledore is waiting in his office to give us a message.” She stood there idiotically with a confused look on her face, and barely choked out and uhm…okay. I was clearly having too much fun with this. She finally sat down and after a good 10 minutes looked up, to my smiling face. She never saw it coming and it hit her like a rock. The rest of the way my plan was forming.
