Sometimes the person you really need is the one you didn't think you wanted- Anonymous Pansy pressed her face to the cold window, letting her tears mix with the raindrops. She had lost so many friends and her heart felt like someone has smashed it into tiny pieces. The tears had not stopped falling since she'd taken home by Blaise. She had wanted to fight but they wouldn't let her, She was just a weak teenage girl to them. Her body shook with uncontrollable sobs again, Her breathing becoming ragged. She looked out her bedroom window, watching the everyone act like nothing had happened. Their hearts weren't nearly as smashed at hers. She noticed a familiar flaxen-haired boy and her tears begun to reduce. "Draco" She whispered her voice raspy from lack of use. She swung her legs over the window sill and shakily stood up, She hadn't moved for hours. Pansy started down the hallway, holding onto the wall to keep her balance. Her heart seemed to become more desperate to wrap her arms around Draco and kiss him with everything she had and pushed the rest of her body to move quicker. She flew down the stairs with great speed and almost crashed into a house elf in her haste. She could almost taste him on her tongue as she pushed the grand patio doors open. People turned to face her- shocked by her appearance. Never had they seen her in such a mess- tousled hair and make-up smeared eyes. She was far from perfect. Pansy ignored them, her robes dragging along the floor as she ran towards Draco through her arms around him and burying her head into his shoulder in a tight embrace. She could tell he felt uneasy, He'd never been much of a hugger. "I love you" She whispered, She'd only realised how much she truly felt for him while she was worrying about whether he was alive or not. It pained her to think what would of happened if he hadn't come back. "I'm sorry but we would never work out" He said pulling away. Pansy could feel the tears stinging her eyes. She wanted to snap at him- tell him it had worked for the past seven years and slap him but he couldn't find the strength. Instead she just nodded like the weak teenage girl she was and turned away, ignoring people as they tried to capture her attention. She couldn't believe this; it had a been a day. A day since the war had ended, a day since their loved ones had fallen and here they were celebrating. And here he was breaking her heart. He had no right to do that to her, not tonight. She stamped her foot in anger and turned back to him, leaving a nice red mark on his cheek before running back inside. She barely made it to the stairs by the time the sobs took control of her body, She fell onto the third step and grabbed onto the barrier as she tried to lift her self up. She couldn't move, pulling her knees up to face she buried herself in her school skirt, the tears rolling down her knees and falling onto the wooden floor. In no time there would a collection of tears. The sound of soft footsteps slowed down her breathing, Pansy looked through her tears to see Blaise walking slowly towards her, his hands resting casually in his pockets. "Hey" He whispered, sitting next to her on the stairs and throwing an arm over her shoulder. "What's wrong with me?" She asked softly, resting her head on her knees and staring at him with a serious expression on her face. Blaise shook his head. "Nothing. He's the one who's messed up" He said, brushing some of her hair out of her face. "Does everyone know what happened out t-there?" She asked, her voice catching. Blaise shook his head again. "I can just read you like a book" "I hate it when you do that" Pansy whispered. "Why?" He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't understand. I've always been there for him, I've listened to him ramble on about P-Potter. I've helped him do his homework. I've kept him calm when he wants to punch someone. I l-loved him when no one else did" She let out a soft sob. "Why doesn't he love me back?" "Because he isn't capable of it Pans, and you know that. You've been there for him for seven years, I think it's time you find someone who's there for you" She nodded. "Yeah, I think it's time" She whispered, placing her lips on his and kissing him softly before breaking away. "I've got just the one in mind" She smiled before kissing him again.
