Chapter 12: In Which Things Are Really Awesome

Disclaim: Not JK. Not making money. But I do like reviews :]

“I can’t change anything.” I said. “My Sees always happen.” Al steadied his broom again. I realized how high we’d floated.

“Yes, you can.” He said. “When was the last time you actually tried to change the outcome?” he asked.

I thought. “Umm…. When I was six?” I said quietly. It sounded stupid now.

“Eleven years ago.” He said, nodding. “Tell me, Izzy. How many things can you do now that you couldn’t do almost Eleven years ago?”

“A lot.” I admitted.

“So what were those two Sees about?” He asked.

I blushed. “You’re going to kiss me right after McGonagall yells at us to come down.” I said.

“So change that.” He said, without missing a beat. He'd already figured out what I'd seen.

Suddenly, McGonnagall’s voice boomed over the loudspeaker. “Albus! Isolde! You’re far too high. Come down here!” she said. “The match is over!”

My breath caught. How was I supposed to change that?

Al leaned down, his face getting closer. Then I knew it. If I kissed him… I reached up and wound my fingers through his hair and pulled him in for a kiss. It was nothing like my See, but so much better.

He kissed me back, hard. One of his hands kept our brooms steady while the other rested on the small of my back. It was so different from James’ kisses. There was so much more chemistry, and happiness and familiarity. I’d never kissed Al before, but it felt like I’d been doing it all my life. He finally pulled away a few minutes later.

“Was that different that your See?” He asked.

“Yeah. Better.” I said.

“Told you.” he said, smirking.

“ISOLDE! ALBUS! GET DOWN HERE IMMIDIATELY!” The voice crowed over the loudspeaker. We looked down and saw that the whole school had stopped filing out of the bleachers to watch us. Almost everyone was hooting and hollering.

I smiled, as Al took my hand and we descended to the pitch. “Post game talk, in the locker room, five minutes!” Al yelled to the team, and then pulled me to the locker room. We found the doorway and he pulled me down the hallway. The bright blue door to the Ravenclaw locker room swung open and Al pulled me into one of the changing rooms.

“You changed the See, by kissing me, right?” he asked.

“Yeah.” I said, still a little breathless.

“And in your See, I kissed you first?”

“Yeah.” I said, wondering where this was going.

“If I kissed you now, it wouldn’t make your See right, would it?”

“No. I said, laughing. We were up in the sky with McGonagall yelling at us in the See.”

“Good.” He said, wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing me. He was so good at it. I never wanted to stop. My fingers ran through his hair again, and he pushed me against the wall of the room.

We heard the team come in and sit down on the bench, but didn’t really realize what it meant. After a few good throat clears, we realized that they knew where we were. Al turned red and unwound himself from my waist and hair. I did the same, but leaned into hug him and smell his neck again anyway. Finally, we straightened our clothes and walked out of the changing room together.  A small smattering of applause came from the five other players as I took my seat next to them.

Al’s red face paled out a little and he cleared his throat. “Okay. Good match, team. We fought hard, and, thanks to Izzy, we won, 350-200. I’m proud of that score.” He said. “We can take till break off, and start up again in January. Good job today.”

The group cheered at the thought of two weeks of no Quidditch and then two weeks of no school and no Quidditch. “Now get out of here.” He said, smiling. I stood up, and this time, I led him into the changing room.

“Izzy.” He said, pressing his nose into my neck. “Does this mean that you’ll date me?” he asked.

I nodded vigorously. “Yeah.” I said, pulling him back down for a kiss.

Eff the future. I liked the present.

a/n: I know, super short. But I wanted one perfect scene and this was it. So I wanted it alone. I'll post the next chapter ASAP.
