I had a huge revalation, and the plot....well, Plots were changed a bit. So here is the second chapter. I was planning and posting a part of the next chapter, but i figured it was excellent that I gave you guys a chapter earlier then expected, so yeah, you get it early, and with none of the next chapter. Well, you know that the next chapter title will be, 'Just Give Me Time.' I swear it will be this time. Anyways, enjoy the chapter, and please review after reading!! I reach the castle and push open the front doors. Once inside the entrance hall, I sprint for the steps. I slide a little on the first step, because I am completely soaked, but I don’t stop…and lately, I don’t care if I do or not. People stare at me as I sprint past them, and I’m sure it is because I look like shit. I can imagine the little makeup I have on is probably smeared all over my face from the rain. I know tears are still streaming down my face too. I hit the seventh floor and slow down considerably. I come around the corner and the Fat Lady’s portrait is in sight. I bark out the password and she swings forward, admitting me to the common room. I walk briskly into the common room, tripping once over my own feet in the process. I hear a few gasps as I pretty much jog to the dorm room stairs, but I don’t stop. I sprint up the steps and go into my dorm, slamming the door shut behind me. I hope that that is a good enough warning for my friends to just leave me alone. I walk over to my trunk, tripping over a book in the process, thus making me fall on the end of my bed. I push myself off and open my trunk. I dig through the contents, and finally pull out a pair of shorts and a black tank top. I pull my running shoe’s from the bottom of it too. I kick the shoe’s I am wearing off and shove them under the bed before heading for the bathroom. I am halfway to the bathroom when the door opens and Lily Potter slides in, closing the door behind her. She looks at me cautiously, but before she can speak, I growl, “What do you want?” “I want to know what happened,” she says quietly. “It doesn’t really matter anyways,” I say, taking a few more steps towards the bathroom. “Yeah it does. I have never seen you this pissed.” “No shit,” I reply sarcastically, letting my voice rise for the next part. “You would be too if you found out your fiancé cheated on you and WASN’T PLANNING ON TELLING YOU!” I walk into the bathroom and slam the door, locking it behind me. I put my change of clothes on the counter next to the sink before turning on the water. I hear Lily knock on the door. “Lily, just leave me alone,” I say loud enough for her to hear, looking at the door and then into the mirror. I almost scream because of my own reflection. My hair is no longer the dark brown that it was before I left the school this morning. It is a violent red. My eye’s, on the other hand, are black. I have never lost this much control over my morphing. True, I have never been this pissed before. I pull my eyes away from the mirror and start cleaning the make up off my face. I ignore any and all comments that Lily makes. It is a lot more like background noise. I finally decide most of the make up is off, so I turn off the water and dry my face and hands. I strip off my wet clothing and put on the shorts and tank top. I leave on my wet socks, and slide my running shoes on, knotting them. I open the door, leaving my stuff on the floor in the bathroom. Lily backs up until she is in front of the door, but I don’t take much notice. I once again head for my trunk. I dig around and pull my one purse that I have from the mess. I open it hastily and pull out my MP3 player, which is magic powered, so I can use it on the grounds of Hogwarts. I then head for the door, which Lily is still standing in front of. “Move,” I demand. Lily obeys, somewhat hesitant. I throw the door open and start down the steps. I hear someone mutter ‘Jeez, what’s wrong with her,” but I pay no attention to it. I need to get out of this castle now. Halfway across the common room is as far as I make it before Lily asks, “What, you figure I won’t understand this?” “NO YOU DON’T GET IT! YOU WON’T GET IT EITHER!” I shout, turning to face her. “And why are you so sure?” she asks. I can feel the flare of anger, and figure that my eyes are now bright red. “Because three days ago you couldn't even look me in the eye! You just don’t get it!” I continue to start, turning towards the portrait hole. I catch Albus getting up as I turn and I freeze just long enough to yell at him. “You couldn’t do any better Albus!” I run out of the portrait hole and make my way down the stairs. I can no longer tell if I’m crying or not, but I know that I don’t really care. As soon as I am out of the castle, I head for the forbidden forest. I am soo used to sprinting the woods that I find the path quickly, and start down it, letting myself fall to a slow jog. Just as I hit the spot I start sprinting at, I see James. I stop dead in my tracks. “What the hell do you want?” “I want you to listen to me,” he says calmly, not looking me in the eyes. “And what if I don’t want to,” I say fiercely. “You will,” he says, his voice hard. I clench my teeth and glare at him. “Talk then.” He takes a deep breath and then starts talking. “It didn’t get as far as your thinking it did. I don’t know how you found out, but who ever it was didn’t know everything.” I open my mouth to interrupt, but he holds his hand up. “I talk, you listen. That also means no interrupting, he says, looking at the trees behind me. I close my mouth and clench my left hand into a fist, because the right has my MP3 player in it. He seems satisfied and I know because he starts speaking again. “Yes, I was drunk and so was she. She came over and started flirting. The next thing I know, we are alone in the same room. She kisses me and I lose it and kiss her back. The next part I remember is tha-” “You have no fucking idea if you did anything more,” I state. “I trust myself to know that I didn’t do anything more,” He says, finally locking his eyes with mine. “And I’m actually suppose to trust that?” I question. “Well, yeah. All reasonable women would trust my say so,” James says. My jaw drops. “Do you even care?” I am barely able to ask. “Of course I care,” James says, not noticing his mistake in words. “I love you.” “No you don’t. You would probably be better off with that other girl anyways. She’s probably one of your ‘reasonable women,’” I say, quoting him. He finally realizes what he said, and I know because his next comment is, “I didn’t mean…..That didn’t come out right.” “So what? You’re going to take back your words again? You can’t keep doing that,” I say fiercely. “How about a trade? I’ll leave the words, but you have to take back you actions,” he says, holding out the engagement ring. I barely glance at the ring before I take a few steps closer to him. I can see a slight smile on his lips because he figures I am going to take back my ring. I smirk slightly before making my face blank. I then say, “You can’t take back your past actions, and so I’m not going to take back mine.” Fresh tears start to fall down my cheeks, but I really take no notice to it. I see his jaw clench and unclench, and I know I am beginning to get to him. “You won’t hold on to that for long. You love me too much,” he says, shrugging. “So you may think,” I growl, before moving my MP3 player from my right hand to my left. I then almost run forwards, ramming into James’ shoulder. The ring falls from his hand, and I snatch it from the air and keep going. James catches up quickly, and grabs my left arm. I drop my MP3 player, but he still continued to twirl me around. He lets his hand slide to my wrist, holding on to it tightly. He then pulls me closer to him. I almost scream because I have never seen him act like this before. His hand securely moves around my waist. “Release me, or I swear I will break your jaw,” I threaten, my voice even. “Yeah right,” he chuckled, resting his forehead on mine. I avoid his eyes, as a bit of panic sweeps through me. I have never seen him act like this, and it is beginning to scare me… “Release me,” I growl, although the closeness of our bodies isn’t what’s bothering me. “But your liking this a little bit. You just won’t show it,” He smirks. “Oh yeah, I’m probably feeling just like you were with her,” I say, knowing this could knock him over the edge. I smile slightly, as he clenches his teeth. He breaths heavily for a few moments, before he unclenches his jaw. “You don’t play very nice,” he says lightly, through whatever anger was coursing through him. I also notice that he has me backed up against a tree. “Never knew I had to,” I said, hoping to stall this moment, as I made a fist with my right hand, the ring still in it. “That means there are no rules for me,” he replies, grinning, as his breath causes goose bumps on my neck. “I wouldn’t if I were you. Last warning,” I breathed. “Too late for that,” he whispers, leaning in towards me. His lips brush mine, and then he pulls a way a few centimeters. In that moment, I almost lost myself. The control I had over my body, was beginning to fail. And then he closes the gap, again. The pressure against my lips is greater this time. It snaps me out of my daze. I focus on my arm, and swing it forward, at his face. My fist connects with his jaw, and his lips are forced away from mine. I feel a spike of pain in my hand, and then a crack. He yelps in pain, and I do everything I can to keep from making a sound. “I told you I would,” I panted, bringing my hand, still in a fist, to my body. I step around him and pick up my MP3 player. I take one last glance at him, holding his jaw, before I turn and start sprinting deeper into the forest. My thoughts are flying, and my hand hurts as I turn on my MP3 player. Last question. Figured i would put it at the end, so i wouldn't spoil the chapter. Your Welcome ahead of time. Anyways, on with the question. Should Mikaela break her hand because she breaks James' jaw or no? Leave a review to let me know. Thanks!! http://www.harrypotterfanfiction.com |
