I'm having another go, so i hope you like this story too! -TDLuver "Just leave me alone." I pleaded, tugging my arm out of his loose grasp. He let me go and smiled. His straight, white teeth mocking me. "But don't you like it, Granger?" He taunted, his handsome face close to mine. "Please." I turned to leave, but got no where as his hand clasped my wrist. I felt myself get pulled against my captor. My back against his front, his lips on my ear, "Just because you tell me to go away, doesn't mean I'll leave." Before I could let out a shudder, he had disappeared. I had been bothered by Draco Malfoy ever since the beginning of this year. It was strange to me, however, when he first began to follow me around, because usually he never even let his gaze even flick in my direction for fear of being scorched by my oh-so-terrible dirty blood and when he did happen to run into me, he would call me some horrible name and then quickly walk away. It seemed to me that he thought of me as nothing. Draco Malfoy was the boy every girl wanted to date and every boy wanted to befriend. He was tall...handsome...the whole package. He wasn't even anything special. Well, unless you counted his money and amazing looks. Because of all this, I was indeed surprised when this popular boy followed me to the library after the classes the second day of the term. And I was even more surprised when it didn't stop there. It had been almost two months and he was still at it. I stumbled out of the empty classroom. I was always a little jostled after our little "encounters". He knew just the way to screw up my way of thinking. In fact, he knew quite a bit about me. This thought frightened me, but i quickly shook the thought out of my head and hurried into arithmacy. I was late, which was beginning to become a routine for me. After everyone looked up to see who walked in and -finding themselves disappointed- went back to writing their assignments, I slipped into the only empty seat left. It was just my luck that it was it was in the front and miles away from the only person I could call my friend in this class. Padma Patil caught my eye and gave me the "where were you you?" look. I pretended to not know what she meant and bent my head down to pretend to do the assignment. The whole class was rather rushed. Assignment after assignment. Notes after notes. Finally, we were excused. Everyone rushed out, needing to escape the claustrophobia of the classroom. Except for me, that is. I stood up, but only to carefully place all my papers and books into my bag. My eye caught an assignment that had been graded. In the top right hand corner in an elaborate scrawl it read 'O' for outstanding. I smiled. It seemed I was good at something. My smiled faded as I felt someone press up against my back. A little too close for an empty classroom. "What are you smiling about?" Malfoy breathed in my ear. I suppressed a shiver. "I'm not smiling." I stated, moving away from him. He grabbed my waist, holding me in place. All i managed to do was turn so we were facing each other. He studied my face, "No, I guess you aren't." He glanced at the open door as voices drifted down the hall and into the room. His warm hands left my waist and I watched as he walked out the door. Not too seconds later, the next class started pouring back into the room. I grabbed my bag and hurried out the door to my next class. It was all part of his plan, I thought as i headed towards the dungeons. The way he never acknowledged me in public was all part of his sneaky little plan. If I was to tell anyone that Draco Malfoy was harassing me, who would believe it? The boy who only said "get out of my way" to me all of the sudden harassing me only in private doesn't seem like a likely story. This is one of the main reasons why I didn't share my secret with anyone. Not even my closest friends. Being first to potions, I set up my cauldron and put my books in a neat pile on the corner of the table. Two boys collapsed on either sides of me after I had finished my task. "You two look a little tired." I smiled. To my right, Ron Weasley had his red head buried in his arms. By the looks of his limp hair, he had obviously skipped the shower this morning. Harry, on my other side, was leaning his head on his hand. The dark circles under his closed eyes hinted at lack of sleep. But at least he had the decency to bathe. "We stayed up all night writing our stupid potions essay." Harry mumbled. Ron grunted. A couple boys plowed their way through the seats of the classroom, knocking over my books in the process. One of the boys happened to be Malfoy. I rolled my eyes and bent to pick up the fallen materials. "Oh. My. Gosh! Did you see you just went past?!" Just from the context of what was said, I could guess who that was. She had turned around in her chair in front of mine to look at the boy who had just passed. Lavender Brown was one of those girls who would die just to touch Draco Malfoy (now that she was over Ron, that is.) and she had a pretty good chance with him, actually. She was beautiful. No brains, but beautiful and that's all men care about. "No, I must have missed him....or was it a her?" Lavender playfully smacked my arm, "He ran right into your books, you couldn't have missed him! Draco Malfoy is a dream!" Harry muttered something beside me. I rolled my eyes once again, "He's not that cute." She smirked, "You're just jealous because he doesn't like you." I let out a fake laugh, "HA! He loves me, Lavender, you just don't know it." Out of the corner of my eye I saw Ron's head lift up, but i ignored him. She smiled at my 'joke', "You're goofy, Hermione. I'm going to ask him to Hogsmead. Do you think he'll say yes?" "There's no way he'll say no." The rest of the day went by slowly and very painfully. Even though i was good at school, I just didn't care for it like I used to. I ran from the Herbology greenhouses, slipping and sliding through the rain as I went up the wet grass. Once inside the front doors, I hurried through the halls to the Gryffindor common room. I made it half way before my wet hair slapping my face became a nuisance. I stopped to quickly dry my hair with a spell. I thought i heard something behind me so i turned to look behind me. I couldn't help the scream that escaped my throat. I turned back around clutching my now dry hair, trying to catch the breath that I had just lost. "You gave me a heart attack!" I exclaimed, whipping around again. Malfoy laughed cruely, "You are the easiest and most fun person to scare." I glared at him as I took in his soggy form. His wet hair was plastered to his head and his robes were dripping with water. "How come you're all wet? You don't have herbology this year. How did you know I was here?" One corner of his mouth turned up as he looked at me suggestively, "Oh, you know." I shook my head seriously. "I saw you running up here so I decided to follow and see what the rush was all about." He said poking me in the stomach with his wand. I pushed his hands away, "I wasn't in a rush." He grabbed my hand and raised it to his lips, "You were going pretty fast. But what's the definition of a rush anyway? Maybe I got it confused with another word." I pulled my hand, but he refused to let it go. He pressed his lips, wet from the rain, onto my palm. "Give me my hand back." I said desperately trying to rip it from his grasp, he noticed the fear and turned a mockingly sympathetic face towards me. "Oh, honey, don't be afraid---." I smacked him with my free hand, "Shut up! Why did you follow me?!" He shrugged, slowly kissing my hand again. I jerked my hand away and started walking away, he followed. "Leave me alone." "Awww, come on, Granger." I stopped walking and repeated myself. "I'll leave," He smirked, "If you give me a kiss." "Malfoy, You're not being funny." His grin widened, "I'm not trying to be funny. Kiss me." "Malfoy--," I pleaded, but he had already grabbed me and pressed his now dry lips to my trembling ones. I fought him, but, as usual, he was too strong. I gave up, something I'd been doing a lot, and let him massage my lips with his. He rested one hand on my hip and put his other one on the back of my neck. He had only kissed me twice before in the whole seven years i'd known him. The first one was in detention. That was part of his plan, also, since he was the reason I was in detention in the first place. I, amazingly enough, enjoyed our first kiss, because I actually thought he liked me more than just a girl he liked to annoy. The second kiss was quick and hard. It was just to prove a point and held only anger. This kiss was different. I wasn't kissing back, but it was rather...nice? It was soft and slow, urging me to kiss him back. I resisted. But, as soon as I felt his tongue on my lips, I pulled away. He sighed in content, still close to my face, his warm breath on my mouth, "That was amazing, Granger. I can only imagine how good it would feel if you kissed me back." I was still a little dazed by the kiss, but i managed to say, "You got your kiss, now go." He tightened his grip on me and then left me alone with me thoughts. http://www.harrypotterfanfiction.com |
