Dear HPFF community:
This is a news post I hoped I would never have to make. After 17 years since launching HPFF, we will unfortunately be shutting down our services on April 28th, 2018. We have not been able to raise funding to cover our costs, so the decision has been taken to close down.
This is not a happy moment for us, but please know we did everything we could to keep HPFF a thriving community for users to safely read and write HP stories from all over the world. We are glad that we have always had a great and supportive community that shared our love for Harry Potter, and hope you have enjoyed reading, and writing stories about a young wizard and his friends.
I hope you all keep reading, writing, and enjoying the world of Harry Potter. I know the spirit of HPFF will live on through you all.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, due to abuse of the review system by several sites 'fishing' for members, we have had to remove the ability to leave story reviews.

Image hosting site Photobucket no longer allows third party image hosting unless you upgrade to their "Plus 500" plan. Due to this, any banners and chapter images hosted on Photobucket no longer appear on HPFF unless the user has upgraded their Photobucket account. Your images should still be in your Photobucket account. Please see Photobucket for more information on their new policies. If you previously used Photobucket for image hosting, please re-upload your images to another site and fix the links in your story summaries and chapters. If you have any questions about image hosting for HPFF, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

This year HPFF decided to honour what it sees as the best overall story from all the winning Dobby entries. It was a very close run thing and we were torn between two stories, but eventually we decided...The award for HPFF Best Story 2017 goes to:
How not to be a woodley (M) by NH stadler.
We felt that the other story we were considering also needed to receive something, so for this year we have also decided to give our HPFF Special recognition 2017 award to:
19 Years (M) by Marauder5
A full list of Dobby winners can be found by clicking here
