Back on HPFF and the forums after something of a hiatus.  As you can probably tell by my pen name, my favourite HP era is that of the Marauders, and most of my stories are linked to it in some way.

I thought I would use this to try and list my stories in a way they can be linked, (as well as answering questions) as I've been told in the past that it's a bit confusing.  So here we go:

Terese Jones/Black Series

To Have and to Lose

(linked song fics-- Will you still love me tomorrow; One Hand, One Heart; Drink With Me)

Lost... and Found? (canon sequel)

(linked song fics-- Somewhere Out There; Fallen from Graceland.  One Shot Sequel -- Past Unveiled)

All is Not Lost (Main AU sequel)

(Linked One Shot- Visitor at Hogwarts .  Alternate ending-- Detrimentum)

Finding the Future (WIP- Sequel 1 to All is Not Lost)

Losing it All (Sequel 2/alternate sequel to All is Not Lost)

Found Again (AU sequel from end of PoA)

(linked Song fic- Do You Know?)

Never Quite Lost (WIP- another AU sequel)

Betrayal Series

Betrayal is a Five Letter Word

After Betrayal (AU sequel)

I also have a few other song fics, unrelated to any of these fics.

Please feel free to ask me about any of my stories  :bye:

Hello hello! -waves-

1. How do you keep track of the ways in which your stories are linked together? Do you ever find yourself forgetting details and making the odd mistake?

2. What's your main source of inspiration for your fics? Especially the AU ones.

3. You write a few AU fics, is there a particular reason you like to go non-canon?

4. What best describes your writing style?

5. How do you go about creating the characters in your fics? Do you have to create a character fact sheet, for example?

6. How did you come about writing fanfiction?

Hello *waves back*

Firstly, may I apologise for taking so long to answer.  I haven't been around much until recently so have only just found this.  I do my best to answer your questions the best I can.

1) Weird as I may sound, I've read through them quite a bit as I find it gives me inspiration and helps me get into the right frame of mind to write and keeps things in my memory.  But yes, I do (last night I even forgot the title of one of my fics!!!).  I try and keep it all together but I'm sure I slip up- never mind people pointing it out though :p

2) I get inspiration from all sorts of places; songs that remind me of certain characters, snatches of conversations I might overhear, things I read.  Or sometimes an idea will just randomly pop into my head.  I love starting off with a bit of dialogue or a small idea and seeing where the characters go, cheesy as it sounds they sometimes have a life of there own.

3) I like to go non canon just because writing the canon fics made me so sad, having to kill of my favourite characters; so it's my way of giving them a life without the troubles of canon.  I find it so much fun to write.

4) Hmmm dialogue heavy, angsty, funny, random (on occasion). I would like to say unpretentious but I don't know how true that is.

5) In all honesty, I just write. I don't plan as such, I just see what happens- as I say, I let the characters form themselves.  The best example of this, ironically, was writing my Canon sequel (so I was struggling to fit my story around the events of the novels) and, without me planning it, one of my characters (canon but won't say who in case of spoilers) walked in without me planning, which almost entirely altered what I had in mind for that part of the story.  I just went with it and was really pleased with the result.  The character of Terese I had in my head once I read OotP for the first time- I'd never even heard of fan fiction then so I had no outlet for her.  I think I manage to unintentionally (mostly) base characters on people I know. Terese definitely has aspects of me in her, and another one of my characters seemed to have based themselves on one of my siblings.

6) It's a bit random really.  I was on the train when my nephew (who was about 6 at the time) rang me to ask me what the spell for a shield charm was.  I couldn't remember so told him I'd look it up when I got home.  I found a site with some fan fiction on and thought 'I could do this' and started out writing 3 one shots which are variations/a summery of my stories on here.  I then found HPFF and read a couple of stories which encouraged me to go one step further and the rest, as they say, is history :)

I hope this has answered your questions; if not please feel free to ask more.  And sorry again for the delay in repying xxxxx

Hi there!

I'm here for your MTA questions!

1.  You have a 113 Chapter completed novel on the archives.  Holy cow!  How did you ever have the stamina to complete that?  Did you have the entire story outlined?

2.  You've been an author for quite a while - do you write original fiction?  For any other fandoms?

3.  You've also been on the forums for quite a bit.  I saw that you'd taken a hiatus.  Can you tell me what the forums were like when you first joined?

4.  What, in your opinion, are the top three stories (by other authors) on the site?

5.  What story are you the most proud of?

6.  Is there a character that you're absolutely terrified to write?

7.  If you weren't a Gryffindor, could you see yourself in any other house?  Which one and why?

Have fun!

Hello :) Thank you for taking the time to do this :)

1)  That is something of an epic!  I planned maybe the first five chapters or so originally because I started it for an au challenge in which Lily and James survive but split up.  Then I got so upset writing my canon fic that I started adding to it again, then it was just adding chapters when I had ideas.  I would usually get random ideas at work or from conversations I overheard etc.

2) I have been on here for a few years (on and off).  I have tried to do an original fic but never seem to be able to think of anything :(  maybe I will in time.  I haven't written for any other fandoms but I've occasionally thought it might be fun to do a crossover with Mortal Instruments.

3) OOooo cool question!  The main thing I remember was the shoutbox, which made it really really easy to meet people on here.I did make some very good friends at the time.  I do remember many an evening sitting debating which house was better (my argument was Gryffindor because it had the Marauders  :rotflol: ) which was a lot of fun.  Because I was unwell at the time I was on there quite a lot so met quite a lot of people.  I think that's the main difference, other than I don't remember being able to do status updates, and the fact it seems to be a lot stricter about personal information (they were still, obviously, but I think they are more so now!) Wow- that's a rambling answer haha

4) Goodness- The ones that remain in my memory the most are some of the earlier ones I read (not that there aren't amazing ones going up now, of course). 1) The story that inspired me to start writing and posting was Broken by Padfoot_Prongs.  It was just so brilliant written with a good mix of dark and light.  2)The Widows Daughter by Marina Hill- so completely original and wonderfully written.  3) I started an excellent one last year called Innocent by MarauderLover7 which I really enjoyed- really must pick that up again.

5) My 113 chapter au I think, because I got so in to it; I love the characters and I had a lot of fun writing it.

6) Hagrid I think, purely because I struggle to write the dialect, I think I've only given him one or two lines in all of my fics.

7) Now that's difficult.  I suppose I'd have to say Hufflepuff as that's my house on Pottermore.

Thank you for such good questions- they definitely made me think!!!!   :bye:

Hi Sophie :bye:

(I hope that's your name, if not I'm terribly sorry and a little embarrassed :blushing: )

As you already know, I recently read two of your stories (and loved them), so this is really the perfect moment for me to come by your MTA-page. I'll try and leave some different types of questions, and hopefully some of them have not been asked before :)

1. I can see that one or all of the marauders are in most of your stories, which I'm guessing by your name is a result of you loving the marauders (and I do too, especially Sirius ). What is it that makes you love them so much? And when writing them, which one do you find the hardest to get right?

2. I love your dialogues. But I wonder how do go about writing them? I'm asking because I have tendency to say everything loud to myself and then go for whatever I feel would be something my character would answer. But my friend, who's not on this site but also writes fanfics, told me she just writes it down right away, because she's so in her characters head that what they would say almost comes natural to her. So I'm just curious; what do you do?

3. So the last story of yours that I read was 'Diversions from Reality'. I'm wondering how did you end up writing about Lily and Sirius in a relationship? It's not the most common ship, so I have to ask :p

4. I'm going to be a little mean to you now. Hug, kiss, marry and kill. What would the different marauders get?

5. You can only use one spell for the rest of your life, just one. What would the spell be and why would it be that one?

Thanks for letting me come by your MTA-page. I promise I'll return to your story soon, once things have settled down a little. I really think it's interesting, so I can't wait to see how it will go :)

Lots of Love

Lotte

Lovely Lotte  :bye:

Thank you for your fab questions, which I will now attempt to answer well  :good:

1) Yes, I definitely love the Marauders- especially Sirius (though I do have a soft spot for James and Remus too!).  I'm not entirely sure why- I think it's the 'All for One and One for All' mentality they have going on (The Three Musketeers is another favourite of mine- great book!).  I also think they have a lot of potential to write- comedy, romance, angst.  It's a veritable treasure trove!  I suppose Peter, just because I despise him so much :verymad:.  The others, I find pretty easy.

2) I think its a case of just writing down whats in my head- like your friend, I like to think I know my characters so well I can work out how they would react to a situation.  I think that's why I have more dialogue than description really, because I find it much easier, and that's what sticks in my head.

3) Hmmmm I started that one a loooong time a go and came back to it recently when Remus/Sirius became an 'official' pairing and read a few.  I think I was trying to test myself a bit- I had got so in the habit of James/Lily, Remus/Tonks, Sirius/and my oc that I thought I would push my comfort zone a bit and mix it up.  I think the idea just came to me randomly so I gave it a go.

4) Oooooooooooooooooooooo that is mean.  Ok er..... ok...  Hug= Remus Kiss=Sirius (naturally) Marry= James  (that is actually my hubs' name haha) Kill= Peter because urghhhhhhhhhhhh.  That was tricky.

5) Aguamenti- because my husband has just said he would use 'Incendio because it creates fire!'  :twitch:  So I would have to do the damage control I think haha

Those were truly awesome questions.  Thank you  :give_rose:

Heya Soph! Stopping by with some questions for you. I haven't read anything of yours yet, so I'm going to leave some general questions. :)

1. Do you have an OTP?

2. Favourite character?

3. Which era are you most afraid to write and why?

4. Which genre do you not like to read/write and why?

5. Fizzing Whizbees or Sherbert Lemons?

6. If you had to save just one of the three - James or Remus or Sirius - which one would you save? (sorry, not sorry for this :p)

7. What's next on your writing list?

Have fun! :D

Hello  :bye:

What great questions!!!  :yahoo:

1)  I never thought abut this until recently.  I love James/Lily and Remus/Tonks but I've recently developed a thing about Sirius/Remus.  There's something about it that's so fun to write because they're such complex characters.

2)  Sirius.  Ever since I first read PoA.  Although I do have soft spots for Remus and James.  Again I'm not sure why. I think its the complicated bad boy thing.

3) Probably Harry's, especially if you're going the canon route because I worry that I'll start going out of character.  I find Hagrid especially difficult because of the dialect.

4) Probably Next Gen.  It's just never particularly appealed to me really.  I can't put my finger on it- it might be because I find it quite sad because a lot of my favourite characters are not there.   :(

5) Probably sherbet lemons.  The more sour the better.  Yummy!!!!

6) Oh... I... ummmm.... they....  :twitch:

Sirius.  I'll have to say Sirius because I was broken when I first read OotP!

7)  Hmmmm well I have 4 WIP's (ridiculous) so I hope to get them done in a way I'm happy with.  Especially as one of them I'm struggling with at the moment!

I hope that's answered them well enough

Thanks for stopping by, those q's were great!!
